Hi all,
Sincere apologies for the extremely delayed response, stopped getting notifications of replies.
I ended up joining Group One Racing Club (http://www.grouponeracing.com) and have since taken a 5% share in one of their horses. Really enjoying the involvement and club manager Stephen Foster does a great job of both keeping us up to date and explaining the more complicated aspects of racing to novices like me. Already taken advantage of an owners badge at Ascot in December and a full access visit to Tony Carroll’s yard.
All in all, highly recommended.

I dont want to spend too much as a) I dont have that much to spare and b)this is my involvement in racing clubs so I want to give it a go at ‘entry level’ first. I’ll get in touch with ownaracehorse.co.uk tomorrow.

I have come across the Racegoers club and other similar clubs but what appeals to me about owners clubs is the chance to follow the fortunes of a couple of horses closely. And the weekly reports about training, races etc sound really interesting to me.

I suppose what I’m looking for is an ‘entry level’ club in that I’m not looking to invest a huge amount to start off with, hence the reason I’m trying to find out more about Select etc.
