Adrian Masseys very useful site is at http://adrianmassey.no-ip.org/web1/ although it doesnt allow results enquiries. I think Flatstats will but I’m going to give HorseRaceBase a 3 month trial at 15 quid a month as it covers NH too.
    Thanks for your replies.

I’m still coming to terms with the damage the RP ‘powers that be’ have caused to the previously comprehensive yet quick to navigate site.

For me this is the nub of the problem :

So I want to check out a trainers strike rate or profit and loss with a jockey. On the old site from the horses form page it would take 3 clicks.

    1. Click on Trainers name
    2. Click on Statistics in trainer info box
    3. Click on Jockey in drop down menu
    4. You would then get a breakdown of the jockeys who had ridden for the trainer over the last 5 years as default and in descending order by number of winners by default too.

To get to the same page in the new site it takes 10 clicks – MORE THAN THREE TIMES AS MANY !!!

    1. Click on Trainers name
    2. Click on Stats
    3. Click on Stats (again!) arrow
    4. Click on Filter
    5. Click on Display By
    6. Click on Jockey
    7. Click on Time Period (the default is now current season so useless early season)
    8. Click on Last 5 years
    9. Click on Apply
    10. Click on Wins (default is alphabetical rather than by wins/runs)

So the RP thinks that over twice the number of actions/clicks taking twice the time TO GET TO EXACTLY THE SAME INFORMATION is an improvement ?
This pretty new site might please the more occasional punter and look good on mobiles or tablets but us more serious and in depth punters have been left high and dry …
