I’m very interested in Mono Man myself. I think he was unlucky to finish 3rd behind It’s A Gimme & Colour Squadron in what looks now to be a very hot novice hurdle. He travelled like the winner & made a mess of the last. Believe the way he picked the front two back up after losing all momentum suggests he would have won. 33’s far too big.

Captain Conan won it on ability not a fitness edge. There is only so much you can do with them at home and would say he would probably come on for that. I would say he was slightly fortunate with the 2nd running around. Looks like a proper chaser in the making and you would have to think anything he does this season is a bonus. Not the sort of horse who screams out Supreme but I won’t be writing him off. That was a very pleasing run fto for the trainer this season.
Actually backed Colour Squadron today & was pretty gutted he couldn’t stay straight. He’s a pretty good yardstick for the Supreme at the moment and ties up quite a lot of form.

Hurricane Fly, Spirit Son, Zarkandar will be the 3 come March. I think Spirit Son could be the one to give H Fly the most to do & will be backing him soon. He will mop up the big 2 mile hurdle races over here. Hurricane Fly is something special though would like to somehow get both on side. Wishful thinking haha

    Workforce
    Golden Lilac
    Snow Fairy

These are my bets atm. The latter 2 at 80.0 Workforce at 7/1. Personally think Golden Lilac did not run her race lto but we will see. Think she’s defo overpriced if she takes her chance tbh

Wants a longer trip, softer ground and a different track. The fences came to quick for him as he’s a real galloper. I would just caution you that he needs softish ground so careful re: Cheltenham. It’s a very nice horse.

    Pandorama

will win the Hennessey IMO. He has the class. He has a feather weight. And not running in the RSA which has bottomed many horses could have him coming into this race in perfect shape. I’m not really concerned about the ground either. There will be enough cut for him without being soft.

Why does everyone hate Workforce so much in this thread. Did they all do their nuts on Jan Vermeer or something. And to reply to the ‘mug punter’ statement. How do you ever get any value bets if you fail to see potential? His Dante run was solid form for his 2nd ever run and was bound to improve with 1) the run 2) a bit in between his chops..

Workforce to me if he runs will win. After the King George Stoute looked disappointed even though Harbinger won and that was because of the way Workforce ran. He is a superstar the form in the Derby means nothing he obliterated the field in a record time. I have got a feeling the horse over did it in the Derby and he’s a great big horse who’s been chucked in at the deep end. He’s only had 4 runs and 3 of them have been really tough races. I also get the impression he isn’t the easiest to train.
