r.d of course its fixed i started a thread on it but most you closed ranks as usual.come ON friends lets admit it RACING IS BENT,but we love it.xxxxxx
it is accepted that the animal is the innocent in this argument, its when greedy humans get involved the problem starts.what use is there in printing and broadcasting massive amounts of information if it cannot proved to be correct.there is nothing wrong with legitimately placing a beast to give its best chance but when its deblibretly run under the wrong circumstances it makes the whole thing a sham.in any case weve seen evidence on this site to give us the answer from owners and punters alike.what ive leant from it is stay near the money your chance of picking an outsider thro the form book is well LUCK, no one can be trusted and the science of the form book can not be perfected until everything is pucker and that will never be.so overall do we amateurs no as much Jim Mcgrath,Francome, etc etc
also how do you know the strength of the opposition,i am being nosy
ian," bent" as i understand means dishonest,so my thred should be is horse racing dishonest[bent,crooked,fiddle,a twist ,corrupt,dodgy etc}
very interesting, the more i hear the more suprised i get 95% ian lower lower more stories please
so if we agree that the drawmakes a difference, which courses give the most advantage ive read a book on draw bias and in it they say that theres no definite draw advantage at Chester but recognise Beverly as the one with greatest , i think it was called Backing the Draw for Profit.
sincere apologies ian, didnt mean it to be insulting, the reply was very poor and did indeed offer no debate sorry.
As you have probably guessed i,m playing devils advocate i love horse racing but feel very frustrated when these weird results turn up.as a novice in terms of knowing the game,my only way in is via the form book but when it regularly turns in suprising winners it makes me wonder.as for a trainer not knowing th correct distance or going,of course it takes time to find out the animals best conditions but i was really refering to seasoned campaigners not 2yo,s or lightly raced older nags.as for the comment that trainers and owners need to make a living correct but should they do it by making secret arrangements with whoever at the expense of the punter.isnt running a horse over the wrong conditions to gain an advantage without the punter knowing is unfair to the people whokeep the industry alive .the racing industry seems very much a closed shop with disreguard to joe public and when debates like of late come to he forefront they close ranks.i agree panorama was very poor and to me very dissapointing, but it is very hard to prove i think they thought they had something but things didnt open up the way they thought it would still what they did get was still revealing some of the archive footage on this forum though was more incriminating.
please dont take offence calling my forum friends romantics was just a very poor attempt to get your racing experts to reply.
why do i still bet, because like all the rest of you i love ,but i dont know enough, but i,m learning.
ONCE AGAIN APOLOGIES TO EVERYBODY I PROBABLY HAD TOO MUCH ASSISTANCE FROM MADAM STELLA
23 viewers and only 3 reply,s that says it all .are we all romantics YOU MUST HAVE AN OPINION
its all part of the game,we all knew what was going on{panorama}DONT BRUSH IT UNDER THE CARPET.IF RACING AINT HONEST WERE WASTING OUR TIME
b******s ian 95%,i dis agree like ive said did anyone back IRISH DISTINCTION TODAY not yet but i can tell you why utd beat everton the other night.but dont get into that..
what about 5 furlongs at Beverley on any going harder than good,of course the draw makes a difference.the only trouble is that it gives another excuse.
thx winchy for having a go,your dead right about a horses weight why do you think they wont do it.yes if a horse can win by 20 length it should do so,if it dont ITS CHEATING. but dont tell me a trainer doesnt know the horses best distance after a couple of runs.come on Ian,Escorial,Rory whats your views..
two viewres so far and no reply surely everyone must have an opinion or haven,t you got the boll***s
some years took the kids to pontefract, during the meet, place what was a resonably large bet on the short price fav only to find myself shouting home the kids selection{placed about 2 quid e-way on it}"come on POOH WEE,come on POOH WEE" and was delighted when the damn thing beat mine at 8/1.never gave them the money though.also a mate of ours tells us hes got a tip for FAG IN HAND we fell about laughing saying will it run in the Derby,he had the last laugh .
:o thanks men,all info well recieved, but i would like the to attend the races on a regular basis{time permitting}the x- changes probably the future in punting does seem like an office job.now weighing up the field in the paddock how hard is that and where can i find more on that ,read some stuff by an american guy walking short, ears pricked etc i thought i’d cracked it till i got to course only for the one i,d earmarked for having all the qualities to pull the float to romp home unchallenged. a litttle knowledge is a dangerous thing.
many pro’s specialise in a particular type of race, what type of race should be avoided and which area is best to concentrate on,i know its a matter of choice, any advice willl be appreciated.
