Can anyone confirm why Eddie Ahern is not riding Elusive Pimp .
Strange booking
He’s suspended, Wallace
Just watch out for him on soft ground, said his jockey…Welsh National next year?
Too short a trip.
I mustve been one of the few to raise his chances on here and got laughed at for it!
He has a very very good chance over the trip if the ground is soft
Mastercraftsman had won 2 Group 1"s at the same point of their careers Halfway.St Nicholas has won 1. I sense you may have backed him for the Guineas and Derby! Shame Workforce will do you both times!
No chance on the Guineas front mate. Did that with Mastercraftsman (even though he’s a different animal) and got bitten.
I’ve backed him for the Derby for the last 8 or 9 months though at all kinds of prices
Something for 5/2 backers on St Nicholas Abbey to ponder on.
If St Nicholas Abbey turns up as fit as Mastercraftsman did last year He loses!
Crap. Mastercraftsman, good horse that he was, is not in the same league as St Nicholas Abbey
Don’t know if many of you were watching the Alleged Stakes race today. Very frustrating to see the ride Johnny Murtagh gave Fame & Glory. Hands & heels for the last 100 yards when he looked like he held every chance. He clearly wasn’t going to go hard on the horse in the finish. Why oh why can’t Aidan O’Brien come out before the race and say that we are just getting a run into the horse and this race isn’t the target and if he is first three he’ll be happy. Instead he goes off 2/5 and is eased home and the bookies are quids in. It seems to me you are better laying O’Brien’s horses all year long apart from Group 1 contests.
With all due respect, Aidens horses always run like this at the beginning of every Irish flat season and it is down to you to make the judgement on how long that run goes on for.
Normally they are back in full flow around the time of the Guineas and the Derrinstown.
Fame & Glory was out of contention for the win by the time Murtagh stopped working.
The big weights only done well because the ground was on the quick side.
Correction the big weights did well (and the trend collapsed today) because the handicap is more compact that it used to be.
More horses now carry over 11st so there is a higher percentage that these horses will be in with a chance at the business end
Thanks for the inspiration, Gerald
Fantastic!
Well done AP!

I’m impressed that you managed to improve your prices on your selections between the time you posted and the time Rich posted a better price though
Good luck for the rest of the year. You’ll be 3rd behind Gord and I
There’s something about late season French 2yos
Like Zarkava or Divine Proportions?
Oh wait…
Behave!
She’s the third French Classic hope in a row to look amazing at the Arc meeting/late in the season and then come back to look mediocre.
The two you mention actually stayed unbeaten and were very special
2.00 Menorah
2.35 Khatchaturian
3.10 DEEP PURPLE (NAP)
3.45 Silver Birch
4.20 The Minack
4.55 Whinstone Boy
5.30 MizzurkaNo suprise she lost today was down to the ground and her needing the run.At Newmarket where the ground will be fast i can see her bouncing back back. And i remember last year people putting Goldikova down she was poor on her 1st race and how many group ones she win last year. All this was a race for her she was not 100 percent but i expect her to be at Newmarket.
She will still come back from this but surely youre kicking yourself? 5/1 now looks better than the 5/2 available this morning
Brilliant run by Carruthers!
Special Duty and after the win i have no problem in getting praise in the 1st member here to mention her. When i asked Zarkava about Colnial and Special Duty.
Oh dear….
Special Duty beaten into third on her seasonal debut and now looks doubtful for Newmarket.
Happened with Proportional and Naaqoos last year too.
There’s something about late season French 2yos….
I thought this one would kick on though if i’m honest
