Well done to the winner of the race, clearly top class. The time she posted is spectacular.
Was anyone else disappointed with the TV coverage today. This is supposedly the premier european horse racing flat event of the year and the TV coverage was dreadful. I’m not blaming any of the UK channels as I guess they just get the feeds from french TV.
I’m not aware of any uk or ire course that has a different winning post for races within the same meeting. Is there a reason for this ? The tv cameras seemed to be focused on the winning post for the arc, making the coverage of the previous races confusing. We seemed to only get a reverse view of the conclusion to these races after they pasted the arc winning post. For instance it was impossible to get a clear picture of the conclusion to the Goldikova/Dream Ahead race. Also all the replays of the arch finish seemed to exclude the winner, the cameras where focused on the finish for 2nd place.
Maybe I need a new TV but the coverage really leaves a lot to be desired.
