This has been going for a long time and I wondered how it was performing overall? There are far too many pages for me to read. Would you oblige me please with a bit of a breakdown? Sels/wins/SR/PL/ROI.

CNI find speed figs, from whatever source, to be almost useless. My only use for them is as a sort of…….nah………I’ve no use for them at all really
I also adapted FineForm.
The origional was a max of 13. I added 3 for a win on the same going. Or 2 for a win on both sides of the prevailing going. Or 1 for a win only one side of the prevailing going. I also added something for trainer %age wins at the track and the same but less for Jockey. Something else I found that was important was the betting f/cast position. I awarded points for that too. It’s a good indicator of a horses winning chance. Anyway…I did it for quite a long time…successfully too. But, I got bored and moved onto something else. That is the fate of all system fans.I’ll have a start bank of 49 this time.(see The BOG roll thread)

Not so good. A slight change of tactics. Selections below a particular BOG price will be rejected. I will smash into them instead on the place only market. My stake will be 10 on those. I’ll have to account to SP less 5%. Can’t think of a better way to do it really.

It seems though that this thread has limited appeal. It’s obvious it’s made a profit but I cannot be bothered to work it out now. Also, place betting is not everyones cup of tea.
I think I’ll start a new thread for these system selections. Win only at BOG prices. A 100 point bank to start with and staking 2 per selection (for the present).
Let’s see how it goes eh?Any and every edge is ephemeral. Here today-gone tomorrow. Rely instead on confidence in your own ability. It may be that correctly interpretating form is your forte. Perhaps it’s the use of the correct stats and trends. Maybe you have developed a successful system. You may be good at sifting the wheat from the chaff in the many postings you see. Whatever it is, if it’s working for you and are making a profit, that is your so called edge.
Avoid under 2/1 shots though.
