Waste of Time?

I was more successful than most thanks to some help and to a degree some good judgment on my own part. I don’t believe in systems and feel they are a total waste of time.

How many you guys actually look at ratings?

How many check times?

I never did except, I used to time horses from the 2nd last to the line. I would compare the novice winners on the day against the handicappers in hurdle races. The eye often decieves and I bet a lot of very good novices who went on to win their next couple that way.

Does anyone have something that they find works or has anyone made lots of cash from following a certain system

PS. A friend of mines was a mad punter and kept losing his shirt. He devoloped a system:- he wrote down all his bets for the day in a book…….then never bet them/ At the and counted how much he saved by not going to the bookes………saved himself fortunes and stopped him betting. He died of boredom I reckon and his wife got the lot……bitch of a woman, he should have punted the lot <!– s:lol: –><!– s:lol: –>

.. it depends on what you call a system. Strange from you really, you state the above and then go on to describe a systematic way of selecting horses.
