My non-racing one would be world peace and my racing one has a similar chance of happening:
I would like the authorities to get a grip on non-runners. They are an absolute blight to anyone trying to bet on the game, not to mention racegoers turning up to find the attractive overnight card decimated.

December 31, 2016 at 09:50 #1279404Unfortunately, mine have probably got even less chance than yours.
(1) Stewards start to do their job properly, particularly those at Navan.
(2) The opposition actually set out with a plan to make things as difficult as possible for Walsh/Mullins. Pace and position it appears they can do what they like. You would almost believe Walsh owns all the rails in Ireland.
(3) On a personal note Gigginstown realise how good Empire Of Dirt is before it is too late but in reality there is more chance of me outrunning Usain Bolt.December 31, 2016 at 11:09 #1279443Richard Hannon to train the next superstar
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 31, 2016 at 11:44 #1279463More than one…
1. BHA ceases destroying its licencees lives, when it only possesses Mars Bar wrappers for evidence against them.
2. Funding issue is finally sorted out, to the betterment of Racing.
3. ITV Racing is a massive success.
4. More bookmakers follow Corals guarantee, particularly Irish based ones.
5. Second the non-runner issue. A massive pain for tissue punters.I’ll probably think of a few more…
December 31, 2016 at 12:33 #1279483I hope it works for them too Cav.
My one wish, although a slightly geeky one, is that when Covering Aintree, they use traditional camera angles, and not go for the arty shots which started to pop with The National in recent years.
December 31, 2016 at 14:07 #1279503That racing finds a new Arkle in Thistlecrack
December 31, 2016 at 15:53 #1279527The welfare of racehorses on the track is well addressed within the remit of what humans can reasonably control and I like to believe that for the most part, horses are very well looked after during their careers. However, that any healthy horse either bred for the sport or having competed gets put down is wholly unacceptable. When it happens to one horse, it is a scandal. That it happens to thousands of these wonderful creatures each year is an affront to basic decency. The efforts of Greatwood, Racehorse Rehoming, The Racehorse Sanctuary and so forth are highly admirable and commendable and ought to be granted as much support as is possible by the racing community. Nevertheless, there NEEDS to be more done because whenever any racehorse “disappears”, it has been failed miserably by the sport loved, followed and supported by millions.
Ideally, my one racing wish is that the world will change tomorrow and there will never be another healthy thoroughbred put to sleep.
More realistically, I’d like the industry as a whole do better by constricting the flow of animals bred for the sport and enacting measures which emphasize responsible ownership.

Consistency of stewards ( A central office watching racing as it happens around the country would help)
Willie Mullins to let everyone know what is running in which races (that one is a fantasy I know)
Luca Cumani to unearth a superstar!
Vicente to win the Grand National!!
Happy New year Folks
December 31, 2016 at 18:38 #1279552Just got an email from RUK saying that they are turning off text tomorrow, so my wish is that they don’t!
December 31, 2016 at 19:37 #1279561For Faugheen and Annie Power to return in full health, finish 1-2 in Champion Hurdle, then go over fences next yr + contest Gold Cup with Thistlecrack and Douvan
January 1, 2017 at 02:19 #1279583My one racing, or rather gambling wish is very simple.
That I win a shedload of money.
Nothing else really matters.
January 1, 2017 at 11:26 #1279626I wish to see a Frankel 2YO colt that will really blow our socks off.
January 1, 2017 at 13:48 #1279654For Coolmore to be less dominant on the flat – and over the jumps – for young Sam Twiston Davies to learn how to improve his tactical awareness and learn ( ala Ruby ) how to remain composed and not get flustered when the heat is on .
