Who are your fav and least fav racing pundits?

My fav pundits, in no specific order, with a brief summary are:-

    1. Jeremy Grayson: I’ve always thought of Jeremy as the true Geek of racing. Jeremy will dig out winners you and I would never think of backing in a million years. With him there’s very little luck involved he’s a hands on guy who eats, sleeps and loves racing.
Whether it be a Group 1 at Ascot or a Hunter chase at Perth his opinions are worth their weight in gold.

    2. Terry Norman: He’s absolutely nothing like Jeremy. They are like chalk and cheese.

While Jeremy will take care not to offend, Terry cares not a jot and never pulls his punches but 90% of the time gets it right. He’s layers dream who is not afraid to put his neck on the line and give sensible reasons why so called good things are worth opposing.

    3. Dan Barber: This guy is amazing and and it’s uncanny how well he reads a race. He has a very sensible approach to racing and has very few peers as a racing advisor.

    4. Rory Delargy: This guy is a walking racing encyclopaedia with a great understanding of the ins and outs racing. A regular guest on Timeform radio he’s very entertaining and makes great listening. Like Jeremy he’s well worth listening to when he points you in the direction of the less obvious choices. Always gives the impression he loves what he’s doing and in the long term a guy worth following.

    5. Graeme Cunningham: He’s my least fav pundit. He’s great at telling you what happened during a race after the fact. If you want to go skint he’s your man.

    6. Special mention for David Clary the best paddock judge on earth.

Jeremy and Rory top of the list IMO they have also had the sense to find this place which has not hindered their standing in my list :)

Least favourite – it’s a very one sided, one horse race – "The Ethical Edge" Peter Naughton.

Hurdygurdyman, you could have spared me 55 seconds of reading if you had redirected your sycophantic offering to the Timeform Radio email address. That said, as Irish Stamp points out, two of your six listed post on here anyway, so I suppose it’s well placed in that respect.

In fact, you’ve – and the forum also – done this once before.

What’s his speciality? Is he a good tipster?

I’m waiting not-so-patiently for someone to nominate Tanya Stevenson, of Channel 4 Racing and the Morning Line as their favourite. I’m assuming she would count as a pundit.

Edited: No personal abuse "Hurdygurdyman" please.

Does it not? Unquantifiable statements that someone gets it right "90% of the time" don’t go down well with me. Praise can be as misguided as criticism.
