NAP
Altior can’t lose but going with MONALEE 10’s in the Ryanair, the Lexus showed up his stamina limitations, the pace was slow enough and he was in the ideal position in the race due to his cruising speed. A hard run Gold Cup would stretch him a bit too far but this trip is perfect.
LAY
I’m happy to place lay NATIVE RIVER but not if the going is on the soft side. Not many win a Gold Cup twice and I think there are plenty of new kids on the block ready to put it up to him.
EACH WAY
If he hasn’t lost any confidence from falling last time then FAUGHEEN looks big enough at 12/1 still looks classy enough and I don’t see any trouble getting the trip. If he can lead and kick on could have them in trouble a long way out.
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 25, 2019 at 00:26 #1393541Nap : salsraretta in MNH, ill be retiring if she wins

Lay : hard to pick something id actually lay at this point because there all big enough prices, but id probably lay BVD in the CH at his current price, theres enough to take him on with id say.
E/w : coquin mans @66/1 in the rsa
January 25, 2019 at 07:42 #1393552NAP – Buveur D’Air 6/4
LAY – If he goes Min Ryanair
EACH WAY – Derrinross – Albert Bartlett 20/1
January 25, 2019 at 10:18 #1393560NAP – Buvuer D’air
Forget last run this horse is head and shoulders above everything and will be better than last years winning performance.LAY – Lalor
Just think he lacks the class of previous winners even though it’s not a strong renewal I think 2/3 will be better. Not a great trainer either.EACH WAY – thistlecrack
January 25, 2019 at 10:27 #1393562NAP Apples Jade for the mares. I think the marble will work.
LAY Buveur d’Air
EW Bapaume still available at 33s for Stayers, 20s generally
January 25, 2019 at 12:15 #1393576NAP- FAUGHEEN
LAY- BUVEUR DAIR
EW- BELLSHILL
January 25, 2019 at 14:46 #1393585NAP – Penhill Stayers 6/1
LAY – Buveur D’air
EW – Saglawy County Hurdle 40/1January 25, 2019 at 16:18 #1393598NAP ELEGANT ESCAPE
A once in a lifetime horse. I was blessed to see the great kauto stars career develop and now I am even more blessed as I witness the birth of THE all time great. An unmissable machine of a chaser Elegant Escape. The first of four gold cups will be a special moment to savor for horse racing fans around the world.
EW ELEGANT ESCAPE
The festival is about one horse and one horse only therefor the ew can only be the same as the NAP at these odds.. Incredibly still 33/1 still available. 100s confined to history now.
LAY PRESENTING PERCY
Yesterdays horse his time has been and gone. Weakest gold cup favourite in history based on abysmal RSA form and fantasy. Monalee didnt truly see out 3miles and the gangly 6yo Elegant Escape was still going through puberty.
If this even places in the gold cup it’s a shock result.January 25, 2019 at 16:51 #1393606Feel free to lay me a price on a PP vs EE match bet, coin flip? Lol
January 25, 2019 at 16:56 #1393607NAP – DELTA WORK
This fella doesn’t get the credit he deserves and I cannot for the life of me understand why Santini is shorter in the market. He’s an absolute warrior with a touch of class and proven Cheltenham form. Ideal type for the RSA and should be half the price he is in my opinion.LAY – APPLES JADE
No I haven’t gone mad, hear me out! Unless she has suddenly turned into a superstar in the summer, she got beat in the race last year, and the form was then confirmed at Punchestown. The form this year looks too good to be true and will be laying her in any race she turns up in.E/W – KNOCKNANUS
He’s a bit of a nutter this lad, but I think he could spring a surprise in the Arkle. He’s very keen going and has to lead, but he is incredibly quick over his obstacles and, if the others start to make a few mistakes in behind, he could be very hard to peg back. Ran a very good race over 2m 3f at Plumpton a few weeks ago in an unbelievably good race for track, only beaten by a potential beast from France who unfortunately was subsequently injured. Weak division, drop back in trip sure to suit, 20s seems too big.January 25, 2019 at 20:47 #1393649Nap – Blow By Blow. He’d be my NAP whichever race he runs in, and even with his falling mark, I still hope it’s NH Chase for him.
Lay – Min
Each Way – Ordinary World 50’s, Champion Chase. I think a lot of connections will swerve Altior, but I think they’ll let him take his chance again. Ran well in race last year, and I can see him plugging on for a place.
January 26, 2019 at 05:42 #1393702NAP – Pick D’Orhy – Triumph @ 16/1
You wait til this one runs – probably the Adonis. It’ll win that easily and then suddenly goes off 3/1 for the Triumph.
Lay – Apples Jade – Mares Hurdle
I wouldn’t lay any of the favourites tbh. Think Tiger Roll, Buveur D’Air and Altior are the three biggest bankers. I’ll go for Apples Jade just because she will have to face BDD again and possibly Laurina. And of there’s still a chance AJ goes for the Stayers (albeit I doubt that very much).
Each Way – Bellshill – Gold Cup @ 16/1
I’ve gone for Bellshill here as I think he’s consistent, will stay, goes on any ground and has a real touch of class but can also battle which is needed in a Gold Cup. I’m all over Pick D’Orhy for the Triumph and that 16s (or moreso the 12s NRNB) is a superb each way bet. But I didn’t want to put him twice so Bellshill it is.
January 26, 2019 at 10:39 #1393738NAP – Apple’s Jade – Mares Hurdle
My biggest Cheltenham bet is Santini, but that was at bigger prices than his current 3/1 and Delta Work is probably the bet in that contest. Apple’s Jade was clearly below her best towards the latter stages of last season. She wouldn’t want long gaps between her races so missing the Dublin Racing Festival was probably a mistake. Her efforts this season have been extraordinary and I think she’s a equally good bet in NRNB markets for the Stayers and Champion Hurdle. Should be odds on for this.
LAY – OK Corral – National Hunt Chase
He’s 3/1 with most firms, wouldn’t be certain to end up that short on the day if other horses win/are re-directed to this race. Of all the favourites, I’d say he’s one of the worst in terms of value.
EW – Itchy Feet – Supreme
Bit of a forgotten horse (hasn’t been seen since November). May have ran better than beaten distance behind Elixir De Nutz who is 12/1 for this. Had created nice impression on 2 previous starts. This year’s Supreme doesn’t look fantastic (not too keen on the favourite).
March 7, 2019 at 15:50 #1400088Nap – Ballyward
Lay – Santini
Each Way – Anibale FlyI’ve edited my choices as I put up Sir Erec as my lay. I wasn’t aware of his setback when I put it up, but I’ve changed it anyway.
March 7, 2019 at 16:07 #1400091Nap – Epatante
Lay – Apples Jade
E/W Pic D’OrhyMarch 7, 2019 at 16:47 #1400101Nap – Not confident enough to call any of the winners tbh.
Lay – Angels Breath
E/w – Beat The Judge in the Fred Winter. West Approach in the Stayers.March 7, 2019 at 18:25 #1400108Nap; Apples Jade, the form is there for all to see
Lay; Presenting Percy, has his chance, but price is far too short
E/W; Frodon, guaranteed to act on course, safe jumper, might have free rnn from the front - AuthorPosts
