People forget there used to be turf flat racing at Kempton before the introduction of the abominable all weather, the same can be said about the previous track at Wolverhampton.
No-one remembers John Hickman (?) doffing his cap when introducing racing on ITV, and that Julian Wilson was the face of racing on the BBC.
No-one remembers reading the Sporting Life.
