There’s no doubt he’ll be charging up the hill as he always does, but as he has always done in recent years, could it be that at the age of 12 the others will leave him behind when the pace is injected between 2 and 3 out? He was flat footed at the same point in the Lexus which is a different game to the hurdlers.

Looks like Tidal bay is out and going for the National :-(

With Grandouet yet another doubt maybe Oscar Whiskey could be Champion bound!

Annoyingly backed Tiday Bay this week after PN stated he’d most likely go WH the GN, should have waited to see the weights for the GN I suppose.

Although his price on Betfair hasn’t drifted too much so don’t think it’s a cert he won’t line up in this, hope he does as he’d have a great chance imo.

Just watched Peddlers Cross at Musselburgh. He travelled and jumped really well but had to be rousted up to win. It looked to me as if he’d get further the way he ran on, however, for us AP voucher holders he looked a long way short of World Hurdle winner :(

I think he’s sadly a case of one of those hugely talented horses who’s career has for one reason or another taken a knock and be it mental or a physical problem he’s had, is unlikely to reach the same level of form he showed between 2010 and 2011.

Peddlers Cross is a two and a half mile hurdler.

Reve De Sivola is the one to beat IMO. Got all rates from 10s EW down to 11/2, yes Oscar W could well improve according to the believers, yet RDS is the top stayer this season and will run all the way to the line. Yes, soft ground will be a plus, given his two latest victories, but better ground isn’t a negative. Looks a cast iron EW bet at 5s.
Monksland will be severely tested at Championship pace and Peddlers has had too many problems for my liking, nor does he look a true stayer.
Get Me Out of Here could be a lively outsider and i took 40s for small money on BF around Christmas. Always runs well at the Festival, Jonjo will have him primed to run a big race.

    MarkTT,

Peddlers Cross won over 2m 6f at Musselburgh staying on after being rousted up. I think he has every chance of staying 3m at Cheltenham.

However, I have to agree with Shack1 that he may be unlikely to reach the same level of form he showed between 2010 and 2011 and as a consequence may not be good enough. I hope i’m wrong!

Peddlers Cross has no channce in my humble opinion.

I hope Bog Warrior turns up, his recent hurdle form would give him a huge chance.

Grands Crus I always found to be slightly overrated, when everyone loved him saying he was the next Gold Cup winner, now everyone massively underrates him after some below par performances, somewhere down the line you’re gonna get a decent value win of him and if he runs in this I can see him winning, think his performances in defeat to Big Bucks were greater than Reve De Sivola imo.

I would personally have liked to have seen Peddlars Cross in the Champion Hurdle again. He didn’t finish that far behind Hurricane Fly when HF won the Champion, and it would have been nice to have seen him have another crack at it!

Nicky Richards at Ayr asking about for how much he could get on Bergo for the race, well they said Eduardo and there is no such thing in the race so I think they meant Bergo, the Flat Cup horse I could imagine, races at Fontwell for a prep. Was offered only 25/1 anyway.

You’d have to say that now BV are going NRNB rather than NRFB the 6/1 priced up about Quevega is huge.

2 x as much as PP who are 3/1. Next best is 365 who only go 7/2.

Very unlikely she’ll run IMO but if you gets your money back…

I’ve been thinking the same thing for a while now, I like either him or Oscar Whisky in this.

Does anyone have any ideas of which race Grand Crus is likey to run in?

Not even certain Grands Crus heads to the festival Ben. Last thing I heard Pipey was taking things one day at a time to see how he was coming along before even contemplating a potential festival target.

Oh lord thanks for that Boz, at least I haven’t backed him in anything yet, to be honest will probably end up saving me money if he doesn’t take part if his recent record is anything to go by!
