Thank goodness for that. I was pessimistic as per usual before the race, but that has taken the pressure away big time.
If Kauto storms up the hill to collect his third Gold Cup, I think Paul Nicholls will advise Big Buck’s remain over hurdles and go for a third World Hurdle.
Shame, really. By the time connections fancy sending him for a Gold Cup he’ll be nine. Time may be catching up with him by then.
