Just for a bit of fun, I’ve set aside £500 to have a mess about on the World Cup. I’ll post them in here, so you can all take the Michael out of me.

    Bank – £500

    £50 – Spain to win @ 5.1 on BF.

    £10 e/w – Higuain topscorer @ 18/1 bet365 (1/4 odds 4 places)

    —–

    South Africa Vs Mexico

    £8 Mexico @ 13/8.
    £3 Mexico 2-0 @ 10/1
    £3 Mexico 2-1 @ 10/1
£4 Hernandez to score at any time @ 5/2

    —–

    France Vs Uruguay

    £2 Uruguay 1-0 @ 8/1
    £3 Draw 1-1 @ 5/1
    £3.50 e/w Suarez 1st goal @ 15/2 (1/3 odds unlimited places)

    —–

    Bank – £400

    Good luck all.

Finding it difficult to pick any faults in your initial bets Blunkett. Good luck!

My initial investments are as follows:

    Outright;
    Buy Spain
    Sell France
    Sell Ivory Coast

    Golden Boot
    Buy Robinho
    Buy Klose

Greece v Korea; Once the teams are announced I may sell shirt numbers.

    £10 Mexico @ 2.5 in running.

I can’t see how they’re not 3-0 up, surely the Saffers luck will run out.

You will get 10/1 about England winning the World cup after that first half! Nothing special! 8)

or too much watering of the ground?!

P.s. what does the sash on the yankee shirt mean – first or second string?! :P

Not every World Cup winner impresses in their first match.

I only drink Champagne or fine Wine Zenjah and thats only when i have a good winner! If i wasn"t so disciplined i could easily be a P*ss head! Smokin the illegal substances you obviously enjoy would only cause me mental confusion and to live up to my name i have to remain as sharp as a knife, now with a name like Zenjah you can get away with a bit of Ganjah and no ones the wiser!

Thought ghana looked awesome there, should make it through the group fairly easily if they play like that again… :-)

    Nice work Bulwark.

I took the weekend off to get drunk after the Mexican’s lulled me into thinking that they would hammer the hosts.

    Bank £390.

Today is a boring day at work, so I’ll be throwing a few daft bets at the wall to see what sticks.

    £3 Holland 3-0 @ 10-1
    £2 Holland 3-1 @ 12-1
    £3.50 e/w Van Persie 1st goal @ 10/3

    —-

    £10 Cameroon @ 6/5
    £3 Cameroon 1-0 @ 5/1

    —–

    £5 Italy Double result @ 5/2
    £4 Italy 2-0 @ 15/2
    £3 e/w Gilardino 1st goal @ 6/1

    Bank – £350

Bank still at £350 due to horrible selections. Although Higuain has just scored a hat trick, which makes my top goalscorer bet look a bit tasty.

    £20 double

    Nigeria 11/10 / Mexico 13/5

    Bank £330

All 3 of my teams have made it out of their groups and shortened. Am going 2 include chile e-w at 50-1 as have been extremely impressed by them so far and think their price will contract significantly if they beat the ill-priced and overhyped spaniards. Also have backed Chile 2 win tonight at 13-2 which i think looks a ridiculous price on how both teams have played so far. Also, chile were only a point off brazil in 2nd of the south american qualifying group. 13-2 could look like the bet of the world cup in hindsight.

Think keeper had a horror there which cost chile the game but thought the team looked generally looked easily the equal of the spaniards, spanish controlled the ball better though.
