But why are the Scots so intolerant of the English?
I was in an Edinburgh pub a couple of years ago watching Arsenal play Panathanaikos on TV.
It was pub that the Greeks all go to, and when Pana took the lead, the Greeks were jumping up and down and cheering.
When Arsenal equalised, the English fans made a point of turning their "celebrations" into an agressive "****
you" to the Greeks who were there.Totally unnecessary and uncalled for.
But so often the way with the English fans.
So, my question would be, why are the English so intolerant of other people cheering their teams?
Do our Scots brothers still have an inferiority complex
Another true story…
When I lived in Paris, France hosted England in a football friendly one Saturday evening.
About an hour before the game, I was standing on the metro platform at Les Halles, heading up to Gare du Nord to meet a friend who was arriving by train (not for the football).
While I was waiting for my train to arrive, some English football fans went passed the end of my platform on their way down to the lower level to catch the RER.
They shouted some anti-French abuse at the people on the platform.
Is this because the English feel inferior to the French?
And, is the English desire to see the Germans lose a sign of inferiority to the Germans?
Personally, I think Scotland’s a s**t
e country with far more than its fair share of arseholes, and that there are plenty of countries that are superior to ours.But I’d say the same about England.

Never mind not being liked by the Scots, the English should ask themselves why NOBODY AT ALL likes them, apart from maybe the Americans, who only like them in a phoney, patronising kind of way.

No one can deny that England has more than its fair share of complete knob-heads, I’m certainly not suggesting that we don’t or even that the Scots have a higher percentage than the English.<br> Nor GH am I suggesting that all Scots (or any on this forum) fall in to the category of  being more
tolerant of our crazed intifida Muslim loons (carrying Brit passports) than they are of the white Anglo-Saxon, Chrisian (or at least agnostic) English?
. What prompted that comment was the vehement anti-English (anti-anything English but especially on the football front) one comes across nowadays.

Is it? Leaving aside the question of what exactly a Hommie is, I don’t know where you get your stats. The Office of National Statistics indicates that in some areas of London the non-white population is in the majority. The Daily Mail website talks about ‘ethnic minorities’ being in the majority in 7 boroughs, which is presumably what you are going on about. But nowhere does it mention immigrants. And you have already agreed that the children of immigrants born here are English and therefore, presumably no longer to be considered as immigrants. So you are wrong to state that immigrants are outnumbering the indigenous population.
That’s four errors/absurdities in one thread. Enough to be going on with?

I tend to agree with you Grasshopper. I get the impression that with Lolly’s Mate, merely to be having the argument is the achievement and anything that is said in the course of the argument is completely ignored.
I learned that in an earlier thread from last year and since then have largely ignored his postings, in the same way that you might ignore the outbursts of a Tourette’s suffer.
Still, he asked us to tell him what he had said that was wrong. It would have been impolite to refuse.

Put your nationality as English on your passport application form and it will be returned to you. Being English is not allowed in "official" places anymore. Ask your morris dancer friends.
You can try and twist the 7 London borough thing as much as you like. The facts are there to be found. You say you have a little one!. Get a better computer and you can find it out for yourself. TRY HARDER! You only see what you want to see.

You have been the one who has bitten at my remarks more than most. And yet you live in Sunny Leith, where immigration is very very low. You really dont have an idea about what its like having to worry about your family getting mugged by them, having your buisness ruined by them because they all work on the cheap for cash or having to move house because its getting unberable to live in the place where you were born. You have always condemned my stats (or lack of them) without giving any real argument about why mass immigration is going to be a bonus for this nation. As I have said before, I believe that all this immigration will cause racial unrest amoungst the folk who were born here.
That was the initial argument that you have twisted out of all proportion, and failed to answer in my previous post. (You dont answer all the questions either, do you?)<br> People want to move out of their homes to get away from it. It must be bad.

Because Scotland, Bavaria and Catalunya aren’t countries.

Does anyone know why England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are allowed to field separate teams in football and rugby internationals?
Perhaps Bavaria and Catalonia should approach FIFA

I reckon that the folk that have the Black Britain website (no honkeys allowed) are about the same as Lollys Mate .. having a narrow view of something or a single arguement agenda can’t be a good thing.
I disagree with immigration but for reasons completely different to LM and I don’t waste hunnerds of time worrying about it. I cant really influence anything in the wider world around me, so why get frustrated about things outwith my control ?
Let the fools carry on being as foolishly as they want to be, for as long as they want to do it .. I’ll do something else .. !
