just watching the 5.20 at wolves and scruffy skip was being shown on atr and online with bet365 as moving from 5/1 into 7/2 but never went below 10 on betfair and was mostly showing as 15s plus the 5 to 10 minutes before the off

i know odds are different but that was a 200%+ discrepancy, not happening with any others in the race

A bizarre ‘gamble’. I can only assume it was bookmakers shortening up liabilities but it’s a sad state of affairs if they can manipulate the market to that extent. It didn’t win, but anyone that backed that horse at sp had had their pockets picked before the race even began.

here’s what was matched on betfair, nothing below 9.2 and for the seven minutes before the off i’m looking at the on track prices and bookies prices and it’s 5/1 shortening to 7/2 for those 7 mins and not going below 15 on betfair (can only assume the lower price change was matched much earlier) – can’t remember the last time i saw a discrepancy like that and the horse was never in the race :
