Since I have been compiling speed figures, the going allowance last night at Wolverhampton was the slowest I have ever recorded on an all weather track at -0.34s/f (standard to slow) <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/fSeptember 8, 2013 at 21:44 #450624Yeah, I had it as ‘Slow 103’ which is probably the slowest since I started using this methodology
That translates to slowing down the horses by approximately 34 lengths per mile
September 12, 2013 at 07:46 #450949The official description today is ‘standard to slow’………..be interesting to see what figures they achieve
Might be worth looking at horses with slow ground form or who stay a bit further than todays distance
Always find that a tricky one though………..theoretically on slower ground they should run slower which should suit the horses with a turn of foot rather than the stamina runners.
September 13, 2013 at 06:51 #451063The polytrack surface at Wolverhampton has quickened up to
-0.16s/f
(standard to slow)
