There is Eurosport 3, 4 and 5 even more buried than 1 and 2 by the way.
February 10, 2022 at 13:12 #1582343Bet curlings fun to play, the girls doing well so far against the Swedes
February 10, 2022 at 13:25 #1582345I think curling is the only winter olympic sport I could do. Must take a lot a practice to get good but definitely looks fun to have a go.
I’m useless on skates, can’t imagine I’d be any better on skis or a snowboard so that’s near enough everything gone. Possibly I could hang on for dear life in the middle of a 4 man bobsleigh if the other three knew what they were doing.
February 10, 2022 at 13:30 #1582347Very confusing for Britain to be using the yellow stones and Sweden the red stones.
February 10, 2022 at 20:12 #1582471Haven’t watched a bit of it.
February 10, 2022 at 21:55 #1582516The snowboard cross was enjoyable to watch; that’s about it
February 10, 2022 at 22:11 #1582522I recall being briefly interested in the event 44 years ago.
But only the downhill ski-ing.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"February 12, 2022 at 18:36 #1582896Great win in the curling today by the British women.
February 12, 2022 at 20:34 #1582919Chanced upon some long distance speed skating yesterday; 10,000m I think, and found the skaters’ technique most elegant, particularly when cruising with their arms folded behind their backs
What enormous thighs they have, enhanced by the body-hugging lycra kit, which does much the same for camel-toes and danglers

There seems to be five Eurosport channels dedicated to the Games plus a UHD channel which overrides my settings with a far too bright and not very beautiful display

Are you entirely sure that was Eurosport and the Winter Olympics you were tuned into, Drone?

I remember the American skater Eric Heiden winning five gold medals in Lake Placid, one of my earliest Olympic memories.
There is also something quite satisfying about the Dutch still winning so many medals in the speed skating. All that skating along frozen canals and on frozen lakes, so often depicted in Dutch art. It is nice how the tradition has lived on.

On VirginMedia they’re on Channels 521-526 immediately after the freeview Sky Sports News/Mix channels on 519/20 and, on my budget subs, immediately before freeview Sky Sports Racing on 535
There’s normally only two Eurosport channels 521/22; the extra ones seem to be added only when the Olympics are held
February 13, 2022 at 12:39 #1582990Found them. 983 to 985 on Sky.
February 13, 2022 at 16:23 #1583037Looking forward to the bobsleigh starting tomorrow. It is a spectacular sight seeing the sleds hurtling down the slide.
Tony Nash and Robin Dixon won a gold medal for Britain in the 1964 games in Innsbruck.
It all looked so charmingly amateur in those days. The ramshackle sleds are a far cry from the high tech contraptions today.
February 13, 2022 at 17:52 #1583055Yes I do like the bobsleigh, great clip.
Greg Rutherford (British long jumper, 2012 Olympic champion for the uninitiated) did attempt to qualify as part of a four man team for this but didn’t make the standard.

Benjamin Alexander, Jamaican skier. 46th of 46- of those who finished, but as he rightly says, he beat everyone who didn’t. I certainly couldn’t do that.
