Quiz Question – Since Richard Johnsons retirement yesterday who is the winningmost NH jockey still active? (Most of their total winners must have come in NH races)
April 4, 2021 at 16:34 #1534416I’m not sure but it does feel an end of an era with McCoy, Geraghty, Walsh and now Johnson no longer riding

April 4, 2021 at 16:36 #1534417In the UK? I would guess Paddy Brennan.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
April 4, 2021 at 16:42 #1534418Tom Scudamore 1372
Brian Hughes 1311
Paddy Brennan 1310Sam Twiston-Davies 1157 and Aidan Coleman has 1129 and I can’t think of any others that might be closer, but this was a bit of a random check and those are GB jumps figures so there might be a few Irish to add.

April 5, 2021 at 11:23 #1534543Graham Lee?
BUY THE SUN
April 5, 2021 at 11:39 #1534545Are we talking about winners in Britain or in Ireland as well? Because Davy Russell must have ridden plenty of winners in both countries.
April 5, 2021 at 12:24 #1534555Correct the Tatling…the majority of Graham Lee’s 1,800+ winners have come in National Hunt races. Although he hasn’t ridden in a National Hunt race this season yet, he won a bumper last season.
Corkallstar – Davy has over 1,500 and hopefully will be able to get back and add a few more.
At current pace Brian Hughes is likely to overtake Scudamore in about a years time.
Top 3 –
Lee
Russell
ScudamoreApril 5, 2021 at 13:57 #1534572Two points here:
1. Graham Lee is not currently active in National Hunt so I didn’t include. Fine jockey though over many years.
2. Assumed that this covered GB based jockeys but OP didn’t actually state that, so no problem with including Davy Russell.
