June 28, 2025 at 19:51 #1734991Women: I think Rybakina could be classy enough to win at 6/1, but no matter how much she dominates a match she still has a tendency to lose.
Tried my luck with the Czech party: Vondrousova 16/1 and Krejcikova 125/1 EWMens: Would be great to have another Sinner vs. Alcaraz final. I think the former is okay at 7/4, but I never bet at such odds. Taylor Fritz would be my bet at 33/1 EW.
Good luck Darren

Charles Darwin to conquer the World
June 28, 2025 at 22:00 #1735005Elena Rybakina 7.8
I share ERL’s concern about Elena managing to find a way to lose sometimes but she is a bigger price than I thought she would be, so I had to take it.
I cannot see beyond Alcaraz in the men’s singles.
June 28, 2025 at 22:10 #1735006CAS, I think Carlito has the potential of winning all Slams in a full calendar year. Of course not this year, but definitely sometime in the next 3-4 years.

Would be greater if Novak were to win his 25th grand slam in GB. :o)
June 30, 2025 at 23:13 #1735260Just catching up
Looks like Alcaraz had a scare or at least a prolonged day in the hot sunCharles Darwin to conquer the World
July 2, 2025 at 14:42 #1735332Underestimated his opponent I would imagine.
July 2, 2025 at 17:41 #1735338Mike, I had a small wager on Nole at 13/2. Wimbledon remains the only slam he can realistically win. A lot can happen during a 2-week tournament, but this one is less demanding for him.
July 8, 2025 at 15:54 #1735736I’m not really into the tennis, I leave that for Darren to mop up, but
I’ve taken the outsider of those that are left. I like that Fitz keeps
his emotions in check, that could be important. I don’t think Djokovich
or Sinner are at the top of their game and even Alcaraz has been a bit
up and down.Taylor Fritz 14/1 William Hill
July 8, 2025 at 16:01 #1735737Apologies to Cameron Norrie fans, I just can’t see him getting
any further.Ditto – Ben Shelton
July 8, 2025 at 19:28 #1735749I backed Zwiatek to win albeit only getting 4/1. I was really taken with her game against Connor [?]. I’m really enjoying the tennis this year, especially the womens tennis which has never really interested me before. It’s probably because there is no total dominance year after year these days.
July 8, 2025 at 20:15 #1735755Apart from 300 others, like racing, cycling, darts, football, rugby and athletics, tennis is my sport and I really fancy Andreeva to win the women’s final here.
I have a little on Shelton to win the gentlemen’s also as he has a bit of the X factorJuly 11, 2025 at 22:00 #1735928Never been in this position before! W Hill have offered me 32 pence to cash out my bet on Iga which stands me to win 50 pence! Mind you I’m well chuffed because I know nothing about tennis and didn’t know she had previously been world no 1 but just watched her play the other day and thought how good she was.
July 12, 2025 at 17:10 #1736081You’ve got to feel for Anisimova, knocks out the No1 seed in the semi final then gets thrashed to love in the final in less than an hour.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 12, 2025 at 17:22 #1736082No one could beat Iga in the form she’s in at the moment. They shouldn’t be making Anisimova give that interview; they need to reappraise it in future…
July 12, 2025 at 17:24 #1736083I agree that interview was painful for her they should have let her be when she got upset.
The more I know the less I understand.
