The details of the whip infringements have been released
Harry Cobden received a four-day ban for using his whip above shoulder height on Stay Away Fay in the only case of a winning ride at the festival breaching the new rules.
Suspensions have also been given to JJ Slevin, Freddie Gordon, Lorcan Murtagh, Jonathan Burke and Sean Bowen.
Slevin, Gordon and Murtagh were each given eight-day bans for using the whip above the permitted level of seven strikes, with the normal four-day ban doubled in Class 1 contests.
Burke was suspended for four days for using his whip in the incorrect position after the final hurdle aboard Love Envoi when second in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.
Bowen received the same penalty for his ride on Fugitif, second in the Plate.
