Afternoon boys,
Im looking around to buy share in horse and as such have started looking at few trainers websites. Some are some not so good, they never update them

I quite like Alan Kings but he has no horses for sale on there
Anyone know really good one?

Pipe in fairnes does seem to update it quite a lot in fairness to him.
I really like the Rebecaa Curtis site http://www.rebeccacurtisracing.com, really wouldnt mind owning a leg in her horse Black Jack Blues after seeing him at Aintree.
I like Tim Vaughans aswell http://www.timvaughanracing.com, no pictures of horse for sale which is a bit annoying i must admit, but it still looks good.
I cant find anyone in Ireland except Willie Mullins but no details of any horses for sale….
The search continues…..

Don’t buy off a website you’ve got a very good chance of getting robbed.
Get your backside along to the yards and meet the trainers….they don’t bite and if you call for an appointment they will see you.
Can’t talk for the Southern lads but John Quinn up at Settrington is a lovely guy, honest as the day is long and will go out off his way to help you.
Little Irish fella known to us all has dozens you could have a leg in but it will probably be the bad one

Ah id never buy off a website in theory, but its great to have an inital point of contact. Ie. on Rebeccas site you can watch footgae of them via the various links
Its just a good starting point more than anything else I guess….
I might go to the sales and try get me a bargain ya never know!!!!!
April 11, 2010 at 11:35 #289599I’ve got a share in a horse with Alex Hales:
Click on ‘Horses for Sale’,and you’ll see Alex has got horses to suit pretty much every budget. When I saw my horse advertised, I asked Alex what the best way was about buying ther horse, and he arranged for me to pop down to the stables where I could see the horse both in the indoor walker and also out on the gallops.

Cheers mate thanks for that, had look there.
Think I might email Curtis, the webiste looks good so too do the horses. I was really taken by how Black Jack Blues ran at Aintree. Im sure the price will have increased after that though

The Hales site is good alright, pity he doesnt have video footage though, but sure I can look them up myself. Hales is a good aul trainer
Its good to see so many trainers getting online!!!

Peter Bowen is brilliant but don`t expect to have horses for sale on the website. A trainers job is to train the horses to perfection.
Two winners and a second out of three runners at Aintree speaks volumes of his form. Just put your request in the contact page and he will offer a horse. Brightwells sale at Chelt this week is a great place to start. I have bought lots of winners there.
Incidentally the very talented Rebecca Curtis used to work for Peter.April 12, 2010 at 09:02 #289798Middleham Park Racing are always buying horses, their share prices are very reasonable too! In fact enquire about any remaining shares in this years Ayr Gold Cup winner "Whistledownwind"!

Yes I’d also give the thumbs up to Peter Bowen. By the weight of comments here I guess you’re after a NH horse? How about a flat performer that could make into a jumper later?

Cheers lads, some good advice there.
Might just contact Bowen.
The Welsh trainers really are going to be right up there next year with Curtis Vaughan and Bowen, oh and Williams
I think Im going to have to award the best trainer website to Rebecca Curtis. Tim Vaughan would of won buts it aint updated…..
Although Pipes is reguarly updated with so much info it has too many advertisers for my liking…
Surely he doesnt need the revenue from them on there? Would look a lot better without in my view…
Award goes to Curtis, Vaughan in second place. A one two for Wales!!!! Im not Welsh by the way…..
Yep I am an out and out NH follower, more risky I know but was bitten by the bug as a youngster and hooked ever since…. The flat doesnt really appeal to me…

Hopefully the Irish trainers will get online this summer too.. I have really enjoyed Phillip Fentons blog on the post his year. Be nice if he had a site too
April 13, 2010 at 12:33 #290054Too much mark-up on original purchase price on Pipe’s website in my opinion.
