Racing post and ITV Racing so woke, now we have HT claiming the weighing room is my safe happy place and shes’s upset it’s being vilified.

My safe place is under the trees in the pre parade ring at the July course in HQ
Either
a) Walking down the back straight of the chase course at Kelso before racing (about as peaceful as it gets)
OR
b) down by the furlong pole at a Musselburgh midweek meeting.Another place used to be down by the last fence inside of the course at Perth, but main enclosure customers are now denied that pleasure because there’s no course crossing.

I think Woke started as an alert to racial prejudice and discrimination. Then spread to sexism and lots of other isms. It’s now gone crazy and is most tedious.

Deleted a couple of posts and am now smacking my own bottom for posting them – surprisingly pleasant as it happens
“What does woke mean and why is it a bad thing?”
The word probably has become overused. But it is fair to use it to describe some of the craziness that is going on. Like denying biological reality.
And this fanaticism has consequences. There are politically motivated activists who do not accept someone’s right to hold a different view to them and seek to make life very unpleasant for anyone who does.
