Now that the Easter meeting at Musselburgh has been abandoned we have a rare blank day of racing on Friday.
To fill the void, what alternative activities will you be pursuing?
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
March 20, 2016 at 20:59 #1239153Oh dear – nothing at Middleham either this year …

March 20, 2016 at 23:11 #1239170You would have thought they could have found a turf track to take on Musselburgh’s meeting rather than Wolves especially as it was supposed to be the start of the flat turf season.
Any idea who’s taken the Sunday meeting from Musselburgh?

Doesn’t look like there is a replacement.

Ah yes, the some weather artificial stuff.
Not interested, it’s a blank day as far as I’m concerned. If the weather is kind I think it’ll be a long walk and some litter picking.

March 21, 2016 at 10:09 #1239199I’ll be working as we don’t get Bank Holidays automatically. Bit of a culture shock when I came up to Scotland to find that public holidays are rather hit or miss.
Musselburgh’s Sunday meeting has moved to April 24th for this year.
March 21, 2016 at 13:29 #1239217I’ll be ploughing my wages into an FOBT, just to thank those nice bookmaker chappies for being generous enough to keep their shops open on Good Friday.
March 21, 2016 at 23:22 #1239332I’ll be glued to the TV for the first 2yo race of the season.
Let’s hear it for Wolverhampton !
Down with the Brocklesby !
March 21, 2016 at 23:25 #1239333Why does there need to be racing on Good Friday?
Have a day off.
Value Is EverythingMarch 22, 2016 at 09:26 #1239358It’s Coral Easter Classic day. Cancel all family get-togethers and watch an artist at work as Kirby tries to come from last to first up Lingfield’s inside rail on Grendisar!

Plans for a long walk around Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Friday aren’t looking as good as they were, thanks to the weather forecast. It’s funny – I don’t mind getting cold, wet and caked from head to foot in mud when at a Point-to-Point, but very much do mind on a non-racing day.
I think I’ll probably stay indoors instead, watch Lingfield on the joy lantern and knock up my in-running sheets (coloured-in silks and all) for the holiday’s racereading engagements at Askham Bryan College and Charm Park. Yes.

March 22, 2016 at 17:26 #1239402I have been to the Sculpture Park myself GC.
Almost by accident really we had a Spanish friend’s son staying with us and decided to take him round there.
I must say I was impressed!! Some beautiful pieces!
