Have to say I much prefer having a bet online and watching
a race in my own living room, the last thing you need is having
a few losers, getting aggitated and having punters right up your
back side cheering on another horse, which they’ve only
had £2 e/w on.When you’re at home, I feel you can have a proper study up
and therefore, arguarbly get better results. That’s the point…
And lose on your own!
Like a £2 ew couldn’t win more ‘if’ placed right?!

(Typos!)

That is probably the best thing to happen to betting shops!!!
I suppose that the same can be said about ‘Jazz Clubs’?!

Go tell the ‘Publicans’ across the land the same…LOL!
Whatever happened to a place having ‘Atmosphere’?!

Place can have an atmosphere without clouds of smoke, dont blame the smoking ban for pubs lack of business it goes far deeper than that.
June 1, 2010 at 21:01 #298095Yeah – like serving up steak and chips like what Mr. W presented us with!
Even cheap booze can’t make you eat that…
Though a cig defo helps take the taste away from a plate of crud lol!
What of the night clubs…???
Sorry – but this world has been changed…for the worse and I’m a non-smoker!
June 1, 2010 at 21:59 #298109Met Alex Salmond at an event and asked him if he still likes horse racing. He used to give tips in some newspapers before he became First Minister.
He said words to the effect that he had to give all that up. How can people trust you as a politician if you are tipping them losers. Maybe Cameron should learn from that.

I last popped into a bookies in Glasgow during Cheltenham Festival this year to watch a particular race. Have to agree with Ginger. Most of the punters were more interested in the machines.
Virtual Horse racing? What’s that all about. Watched one poor chap shouting on his virtual nag. Sad.

Kevin
If you think about it, anyone who shouts a horse home through a tv screen is sad, virtual racing or otherwise.
We’ve probably all done it though, but few of us would write lengthy and condescending blogs pretending we were above such stuff – after just having done it.

I saw a fella actually studying the ‘form’ on the racecard of a virtual race once
it doesn’t stop with virtual horse racing though, they’ve now got Thunder Alley, virtual Motor Racing

hahahahaha that’s brilliant!June 2, 2010 at 16:59 #298244Think that post says more about your own "sensibilities and prejudices" as an anti-snob than hers Himself.
Ginge
A member of the Tory voting "working class", not that I believe in class.Yes, I admit, I am anti- snobbery. Shoot me at dawn, sir.

A working class Tory voter, eh, Ginge ? – who’d have thought
Well, I and my fellow socialist brothers and sisters (
) consider such a thing a contradiction in terms. Well, I suppose it all depends on what class of work one finds oneself employed in ?I heard one ex-Tory grandee from the Thatcher government ( Lord Mumbo-Jumbo or something ) commenting during the election that historically it was most unusual for a member of the " working classes " to vote Conservative; and those who were that way inclined, did so out of self interest.
May I take a punt and suggest that you fall into this bracket. Not that I wish to go down your road of personalising things, you understand. Chin, chin, old boy !
As I said Wolfie, I do not believe in the "class system", I judge people on what they say and do, not how much money they posess, what they own, or their accent. There are good and bad people in all walks of life. If others must put me in to a class, then as a now very part time carpet fitter, I am "working class". My job has thankfully allowed me to meet members in all walks of life. My comments weren’t meant personally H. Just sometimes it seems to me, your brothers and sisters take against middle and upper classes just because they are from this group, not for what they’ve said or done. Can happen the other way around occasionally which is rightly frowned on. I believe both are wrong, snobbery and anti-snobbery.
As my salary is under the minimum wage I would probably be favoured by a Labour government. Yet voted Conservative (as I saw it) for the good of the whole country, not out of self interest (as many of your brothers and sisters do). Another loser you’ve backed Himself.
Realise come the revolution my back will be up against the wall.
Value Is EverythingJune 2, 2010 at 23:52 #298312Shouldnt have to justify yourself "class wise" imho……..everyones opinion is valid……….that is why these things exist!!
Whats right?? Whats Wrong?? opinions!!
Crack on!!
