Haven’t watched it yet but they’ve been recorded.
Regarding HDTV, having patiently waited for the prices to drop I’ve now succumbed to an LCD/HD goggler and have been very impressed by it, though I found the picture required quite a bit of tweaking to arrive at one the tired old peepers were comfortable with.
Wildlife films, particularly close-ups are made for HD; the recent Attenborough series on Reptiles was stunning.
I’ve only seen the last episode but really enjoyed it, looking forward to next weeks now.
after Lobo the wolf last week this one’s got to have a happy ending! Remember years ago at London Zoo standing next to the tiger enclosure with this tiger just the other side of a sheet of glass; they are just so beautiful. Just imagine, though, going for a walk one day and meeting one face to face..I think I’d faint in terror.
I watched it on sunday and thought it was crap. NO only joking it was great those tigers were awesome great viewing.

I just watched In Bruges and Cassandra’s Dream, the latter you would never think Woody Allen had anything to do with unless you knew beforehand. Both good films.
Any other recommendations ?

watched A Taste of my Life last night with Nigel Slater featuring Timothy Spall…never ceases to amaze me how lovely Timothy Spall is and what an amazing actor; thank goodness he survived that health scare a few years ago.
I’m a big fan of his too. Nothing to look at but a brilliantly sympathetic actor.
I’ve been watching Nick Baker’s Wild something-or-other on Animal Planet. I can take any amount of Nick Baker!
Apart from that nothing stands out.
enjoying the BBC 4 film series; last weeks was westerns and this weeks is B movies…..Devil Girl from Mars and The Trollenberg Terror amongst others…they don’t make them like that any more. Saw the Ian Hislop ‘Scouting for Boys’ last night…seems that the boy scout movement was started because there were too many teenage lads standing around on street corners in an aimless sort of way causing trouble..nothing changes, does it???
If you like B Movies Moe make sure that you obtain a copy of The One-Armed Machine Girl.

Saw ‘Tom’s Midnight Garden’ at the theatre last night…was my favourite children’s book, even though I was probably about 25 when I read it….made me realize why I am so obsessed with clocks, ghosts, time and angels…..the author has a lot to answer for!

heck; can’t stop crying! also can’t believe its 20 years since George Adamson was murdered…….Always cry at the end of Born free as well….[and can’t even watch Tarka the Otter…]
