As an ex-racehorse, I couldn’t believe my eyes today. This punter strolled into the betting shop at 1.30 and you could clearly see he was carrying a bit of overweight. Not only that he was sweating profusely. He took ages getting to the counter and then after he’d casually placed his bet he slowly moved through the field of hardy customers, almost falling over a bin. His head was down and he hardly took any interest in the race, only seeming to go through the motions of showing any passion when the race was almost over and even then his hands were motionless. Is it any wonder that he lost? It’s about time these non-triers were thrown out of racing.

December 14, 2008 at 02:21 #196797We indulge in so many criticisms of horses on here I thought it only fair to even things up slightly. Tongue in cheek thread, I’m afraid.
