CAS, I did see those prices, the 0-2 correct would have been difficult to find given the odds.
Theres no need to be looking over your shoulder at the relegation places.

    Busy weekend, away in Rome.
    So early selections.

The Austrian Bundasliga 2 returns Friday night.
All the teams have been playing friendlies over the last month.
Floridsdofer AC V KSV19, neither team has much to play for even at the halfway stage of the season.
    Draw 5@ 21/10

Northampton V The Gas, must win for both teams. Given the history between the two there should be a great atmosphere for the match.
Max Dyche has been playing well and is in the box for set pieces.
    Score anytime 5@14
    First Goal 1@33

    Brackley V Southport
I suspect Southport will be looking for a point from this. Hopefully Brackley can get an early goal and this will force Southport to attack, thus allowing Brackley to counter on the break.
    Correct score 3-0 3@14s –Sky
    (Sorry CAS ;-) )

    Lowerstoft V Banbury
Banbury still have the meanest defence in the league, and also the least number of goals, Lowestoft have scored 43 and conceded 73.
    Correct score 1-2 1.5@7/1

Northampton win 11/10, Brackley win 7/10 Banbury win 11/10 treble 5@6.49

Correct score 0.5 PAT (with freds so a different price to the above Brackley 3-0, due to bookies not always covering Southern League Central)

    Northampton 4-1 40s
    Brackley 3-0 12s
    Banbury 1-2 7s.

    -24
    Ongoing -167..

No problem, I think Brackley will win too! Having said that, we might be tough to beat if we play well . Jim is likely to set up with 5 at the back and play for a 0-0.

As you say, an early goal would make a difference. We were poor once Radcliffe got in front early. But we have also ground out plenty of draws made better sides work hard on our travels as well. My prediction is a 1-0 win for Brackley.

The fan forum has been a happier place since the 7 points against Alfreton, Darlington and Farsley. I think we probably have to write off the Brackley game but try to get a win against Curzon Ashton on Tuesday. They have beaten us twice this season but have been struggling for form recently. It is a home game we should be looking to win.

CAS I think Southport, will be looking for the draw and hope for a 0-1 if they get lucky on the break.
I wish I was around for the match as I could give you a unbiased view of the game.. But the lure of Italy and France in the six nations in Rome was too much. As expected..food is awsome.. and wine on a different planet.
Now got to try and find a bar for that England match tomorrow.

Landafar- check out the Circus Maximus and, out of town a little way, the Circus of Maxentius, a Roman racecourse in pretty much its original form.

Given the choice between watching Brackley v Southport or going to Italy, I think I would have gone with the lure of Rome as well. :-)

1-0 to Brackley at half time. According to a reliable source on the fan forum, they are absolutely battering us.

Land’s prediction of 3-0 might be looking good.

A 1-0 defeat. Based on the fan forum comments, it sounds like Southport had a much better second half. Proctor missed when one on one with the keeper and there was a big penalty shout turned down towards the end.

It sounds like it was an OK performance and no disgrace to lose to a team in the top three. I just hope there is enough time to recover and go again against Curzon Ashton on Tuesday.

The other results mostly went our way. I know they should be OK but with Southport I always prefer it when they are mathematically safe!

Good luck to Brackley. They are still in with a good chance of winning the title and automatic promotion. It is a surprise to see how much Kidderminster have fallen away. Chorley only drawing with Warrington was an unexpected result as well.

Kifill, thanks for the suggestion, it is indeed a very historic place. Last year we stayed near the Coliseum, which is in the same area. Absolute fantastic to see, so many old historic places.
I think the bends would be a bit tight for a race these days..but a stunning place.

But Ill keep it a secret from your Mrs.. ;-)
Only 8 points of the top half finish, 14 games to go, but need promotion form to make it..

CAS, my friends and I could not find a place in the Irish bars to watch the rugby just a beer and back to the hotel, they were bloody heaving, from 2 hours before kick off. So missed the games on TV, not a problem. Was great to see so many fans from All the six nations teams in these places, drinking and no trouble anywhere.

As for the Brackley Southport match, from what I heard on the second half commentary, a draw would have been a fair result.
Best of luck for the rest of the season :good:

    Results,
    No 4-1.. but Cobbs won.
    No 3-0 but Brackley won
Banbury was postponed, no idea why..bets returned 0.5 for the PAT and 1.5 for the correct score
But the treble that became a double paid 17.85
    19.85 win.
