Brackley win double paid 11.5 as Banbury didnt play.

The Landafar curse did for Guthrie who was stretchered off before half time.
No goals in the Stevenage match.

Burton Away Saturday, neither team has won in the last 5 matches.

As and aside, Landafar 2 ran today, but not backed and finished 2nd, But there was a former cobblers player called Jon Jo O’toole, previously played for the Gas, now at Wimbledon, at Ayr today a horse called O’Toole won at 14s..wow I won, but not for to this thread, so not added.
But as Wimbledon are playing tonight at Newport Ill put 1@18s for JJ to score first.

Great win for the Cobbs, must be the first time in many a year that we are above the Posh in a league table. Unfortunately its was only a 0-1..and Hoskins scored via a big deflection, omens I think as it was his 400th appearance for the club. Apparently the new signing Liam Shaw added the missing bite in midfield, we paid money for him..??? Ex Celtic..played twice..

Scunny V Brackley was a PP

Banbury signed another striker before their match with AFC Sudbury, HE SCORED..
So at 0-2 up after 50 mins I thinking ”not again” and then Sudbury score around the 90th.
Checking the Southern League Central tables, Banbury have scored the least number of goals in 21 from 23 matches, but also have conceded the least number of goals in the league with 19. Glad I dont go to watch that often.

Anyway a win is a win for the Banbury 1-2 away win.

Brackley away to Alfreton Town NLN tonight.
Should be a tight game with both sides in or around the play offs, neither team scoring many or conceding much.
    HTFT Draw-Brackley looks fair at 5/1. 5@5s

Oh dear spoke to soon, Brackley win the first half 2-3 and have their goalkeeper sent off on 45 mins. Unfortunately they did not have another on the bench so an outfielder played in goal for the second half. Alfreton score soon after the brake to tie the scores at 3-3. In the final minute 10 man Brackley steal the win to take the 3 points home.
With nine points separating the top ten currently I shall be looking for an option to back Brackley to get promotion via the play offs at a price.

Lincoln did their bit and scored one, unfortunately Northampton lacked any scoring threat. Fosu entered the fray at half time and got booked. Could be in the bottom 4 by the end of January.
Banbury returned to their usual form and did not score or concede.
    Brackley won and returned 13.75

Brackley away to Scunthorpe tonight, 150 miles travel for the part timers. After the good win Saturday Brackley should look to consolidate there league position tonight and play a tight game. The Irons need a win to advance their prospects of the automatic promotion places. The crowd could play a big part tonight, Id suspect Brackley may take 10 to 15 fans and Scunny 8 to 900.

    No joy saturday..again.

Bolton V Northampton tonight, Kevin Nolan our beloved manager returns to one of his former clubs.
Many years ago the cobblers won a league cup tie there 1-2, with Nolan scoring for Bolton.
Odds suggest a formality for Bolton, their fans are happy Ian Evet was fired and since then have won on Saturday.
After the cobblers held Wycombe to a goalless draw, which is mostly due to Colin Calderwood’s help in organising the defence. Things are looking better in the goals conceded column, 15/2 for the away win is a real long shot.
    2@15/2 Away win
    Correct score 0-2 1@22/1

Brackley Town are home to top of the table Kidderminster Harriers today. 15/8 for the home win seems fair enough.

Banbury won 2-1, Cobbs won 3-2 and Brackley lost 3-2 at Hereford.
When Cobbs were 3-1 up, I was having horrible thoughts it could be that magic 4-1..and Id not bet it..phew.
So the Banbury result returned 4.

Tuesdays in Feb..wet cold and bloody damp.

Brackley V Needham Market, the Market are bottom of NLN, so Id expect their coach tonight will be a Reliant Robbin.
Brackley to win 3-0 is me choice 2@ 15/2

Banbury V Kettering, Banbury unbeaten in 6 now and Kettering a few points of the top with games in hand.
Banbury 1-2 Kettering 2@ 7s (not sure this match is on, was pulled from one betting website today, but available on another).

    Correct score Double 1@67
