Thanks guys – working through the issues one by one. I’ll try to update Monday/Tuesday next week with what has been done and what is still on the list.
We haven’t migrated servers yet so clock issue not fully resolved yet.
October 15, 2009 at 23:18 #253521Hi – couple of updates
The thread title which appears in replies to a post size has now been reduced.
The ‘Most Active Users’ list has now been replaced by ‘Most active users in last 5 days’.
Animated avatars have now been disabled.
You can mark all posts as read by going to board index and, top right, you’ll see ‘Mark forums read’. Click on that.

Links in signatures currently open in the same window – would it be worth changing this so that you’re not (potentially) diverting traffic away from TRF?
October 16, 2009 at 11:00 #253562I like your new avatar better happy – he/she does look a happy soul.

October 20, 2009 at 11:32 #254399Hello! We are now on the new server. We are using Amazon EC2’s cloud hosting solution which provides greater reliability and speed, and is better able to cope with spikes in traffic. If you spot anything strange, give us a shout on this thread!
Best wishes,
Charles

October 20, 2009 at 17:06 #254441October 21, 2009 at 20:39 #254674I think people are havin problems accessing the site. For the last couple of days it hasn’t been loading for me. I have to type in www,theracingforum.com. Once there i go to the address bit and replace the.com with .co.uk which works for some apparent reason.
October 21, 2009 at 21:07 #254685Seems fine here Graeme – anyone else having similar problems?
October 22, 2009 at 05:42 #254719Yes I did. I’d saved a link to this new forum in my favourites, and for a couple of days, it just gave me the "cannot connect" message. So I tried going through Google, and it worked fine. I’ve set it up now as a new favourite and deleted the old one, but I don’t know why the necessary link changed.
The new link works fine, but I wonder whether there’s anyone frantically clicking on their old link still and wondering where the forum’s gone?October 22, 2009 at 14:20 #254781Problem only seems to be when using Mozilla.
