Hi all,
I’ve just tried to dig out the thread in which this gathering was first mooted, but given that it started out life as one about Cartmel it wouldn’t have served purpose as well.
For those of you who remembered some of us discussing it at the time, there’ll be a small gang of TRFfers meeting up at Taunton races to chat, put faces to names, and probably watch that bloke from Ditcheat unleash yet another Festival aspirant or three…

Drop a line on this thread or by PM if you’d like to meet up. The more the merrier!

November 8, 2008 at 14:46 #188747I shall be there
I am doing missionary work "up north" next week (Carlisle / Sedgefield / Newcastle and Wetherby) but will fit Taunton in so I will be the one with bags under my eyes.

November 8, 2008 at 16:44 #188775Super! So that’s a provisional list of Seabird, Nathan, PaulO, Rory and myself – any more for any more? I guess we’ll thrash out meeting time and place via PM a little closer to the day, shall we, for those of us who don’t know what the others look like.

November 9, 2008 at 04:05 #188869Anyone going to the Beecher chase meeting at Aintree?
November 12, 2008 at 02:39 #189295Looks like a respectable little gathering for Thursday, then! If any attendees wants to swap mobile numbers, drop me a PM by the end of tomorrow night at the latest.
Failing that, I’ll be mooching around the parade ring before the first race with a dark blue coat but otherwise head-to-foot black attire, specs, longish hair (possibly tied back), binoculars and clipboard.
‘Til then!

Yep
November 12, 2008 at 03:56 #189312Any more rain in the next couple of days? We all know that Taunton doesn’t like too much of that.I’m elsewhere that day anyways, whatever the weather.
Have fun
November 12, 2008 at 04:05 #189314We eat missionaries up here!

Have fun

It was heavy rain all day Monday, showers yesterday, sunshine this morning, tomorrow don’t know yet. Advanced going on the attheraces website says good.

I know – which is why I am staying south of the wall
November 13, 2008 at 16:09 #189547I can confirm that Rory is on the train to Taunton (they took 1.36 that he’d oversleep). All he’s got to do know is get off at the right stop (you can lay 2.62).
November 13, 2008 at 18:12 #189567Well even thought the weather doesn’t look the best at least there is no delay due to static ambulances as is the case at Ludlow.
