    Sandown
    ROLLING DYLAN
    Win
Has course and distance and comes here in form half the battle in these type of affairs.

(If Charlie O’Shea can get over the line first with Rolling Dylan it would be the first Military double win since Rathlin Rose in 2017. So it’s worth backing the horse on that basis alone……)

Potentially put in a very good position in the run of things by the absentees who were positioned alongside by weight and draw.

The draw data from last year based on the first three home suggests stall 10 could be the place to be.
Kevin Ryan has just the one runner tonight and
    SPIRITOFTHENORTH
    each way
is also top weight and running off lowest career mark.
    CRYSTAL STARLET
    Win
Joins James Ferguson from sir Michael Stoute and the Frankel filly drops in class after showing up well in several races, notably at Kempton last time. Also on lowest mark tonight.
Also in first time headgear sporting a new type of hood.

A whole host of winners yesterday,
Last month after his second win I posted on the soul selection thread….
    “West to the Bridge.
A good winner, pushed out a little more to get home when pressed for the lead. Looks like there is plenty more to come.”…
West to the Bridge won again at 11/1
    SPIRITOFTHENORTH won at 10/1
The tricast was there for the taking in the last too but I was focusing on bare form rather than collaborative form.
    “Head to Head
In the last 3 years Spiritofthenorth (FR) has met
    Horse No. Of times
    Carey Street (IRE) 1
    3rd Apr 2021 Wolverhampton(1m 1f 104yds, Flat Hcap, Standard) Spiritofthenorth (FR) 3rd (12/1 9-7 Rated 70) T Eaves 3.00L in front of Carey Street (IRE) 7th (15/2 9-2 Rated 65) Hayley Turner (9 ran)
    sp
    Lord Torranaga (FR) 1
    3rd Apr 2021 Wolverhampton(1m 1f 104yds, Flat Hcap, Standard) Lord Torranaga (FR) 1st (11/2 8-13 Rated 62) Rossa Ryan 1.25L in front of Spiritofthenorth (FR) 3rd (12/1 9-7 Rated 70)”
Happy with the results and the selection factors have been popping up frequently.
So hopefully much more to come.

    Happy valley
    2.15
    ATOMIC FORCE
    Win 100/30
AND WIN W/O THE FAVOURITE (Nervous Witness
    13/8
Is a french group 3 winner.
    First run in Hong Kong.
    This is is a handicap.
Atomic Force has also won listed class.
It normally takes a few runs for the horse to acclimatise and get used to the weight adjustment needed to compete in this environment. Given this horse is group class and this is a handicap, running at the ideal trip, this runner nonetheless has a very good chance to at least place on debut.
I haven’t seen the barrier trials but on all accounts this horse has already shown up well in them.
The big issue is bends and how Atomic Force gets on around a turning track.
He may well need the first couple of runs but there is no reason why he cannot get close to Nervous Witness who is dropping in class here.
Nervous Witness should win here due to experience but I am happy to chance things to see just how Kevin Ryans ex sprinter gets on.

    DIS DONC
    Each way
    215 Catterick
Useless in four chase runs since joining Micky Hammond from Noel Meade.
This is a claiming hurdle and his last mark was 124 in Ireland. Mark is now 114 and no suprise to see some improvement.Yard highly capable of pulling a plot off, might not be today but no suprise if it was today.

    CARLISLE
    1.35

    BARROWDALE
    Win
Wide margin winner of his maiden hurdle.39 lengths, may well be able to cope with penalty in a competitive looking race.

    YOUR OWN STORY
    Win without Barrowdale
Waiting in the wings good third in maiden behind mount Mellery and charm offensive.
This trip likely to suit after two win in points (runner up a winner under rules at Clomel)
