Willie Mullins introduces a potentially smart runner Hawaii Game a half brother to Easy Game. This one has won an AQPS bumper.
He will be very easy to back.
The one that interests me though came with a wet sail at the end of a bumper (40/1) in April to beat Top Dog and denying Hi Ho Phoenix (3rd) at the same time.
Hi ho Phoenix came back on Saturday and won his maiden hurdle by 9 lengths. The horse in question switched yards and by a quirk of coincidence makes his debut here just a few days after.
Mary’s Pride 1145 naas win. 12/1

As is often the case this one is now available at much bigger and anyone backing it today can obtain bog. It comes with the caveat that both Mullins and Elliott will have their horses trained and schooled to the minute and these races only usually involve five leading runners at best.December 16, 2021 at 11:33 #1572799Southwell

Impossible to tell how the draw bias goes from race to race but I have the highest weighted lowest drawn runners and the lowest weighted lowest drawn runner.
My selection has won here twice this year and that for now is irrelevant on the new track. But the horse is down to a winning mark and has won on turf and at wolves and old Southwell and is drawn in stall 1 and should have a fighting chance here.December 16, 2021 at 12:10 #1572805Naas 1215

Untidy over the hurdles at times but reported to be schooling well for this chase debut.
The well regarded Cappaddano also races here to muddy the waters at a much better price, for the same yard but may need further.

I believe Pic D’Orhy is a far better hurdler than a chaser. I do not think the trainer is running him as he’d prefer. Fell under no pressure last time out and fell previously against Chantry House. Raw speed of this horse suggests to me, a sharper test over the small fences would see him back to his best.December 17, 2021 at 13:07 #15729301.10

Different rider on board.December 17, 2021 at 13:25 #1572936I missed the stewards report for
Party Business from his last race…
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Party Business (IRE), ridden by Charlie Todd and trained by Ian Williams, which travelled towards the rear throughout and appeared to be tenderly handled in the home straight to finish eighth of fifteen, beaten by 13¼ lengths. The rider and trainer were interviewed and shown recordings of the race and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The rider stated his instructions were to take his time and get Party Business (IRE) jumping in a rhythm as the gelding is not the most fluent jumper at home.
He added that Party Business (IRE) was denied a clear run turning into the home straight and that the gelding hung left-handed and then veered sharply right-handed away from the whip on the run to the line.
The trainer confirmed the instructions and stated that he was satisfied that the ride accorded with those instructions.
Their explanations were noted but Todd was fined £140 for failing to report at scales that Party Business (IRE) hung sharply right-handed shortly after jumping the final hurdle.

If fit and ready should go very close on this new surface. Evidence is though that horses are coming on for a first run on this new track.December 17, 2021 at 14:19 #15729421420

This is going to a really tough intro to competitive racing for
Jonbon and champion bumper runner Elle Est Belle receives weight from the field.
This is a truly tough test and would be no suprise to see the relative newcomer have to give best to this cast of very talented rivals.
I do not expect jonbon to be knocked about as all rivals here have big race experience but he is still my win selection.December 17, 2021 at 14:43 #15729552.45
