Sadly suffered a fatal fall at Newcastle. With 53 races in 6 years, including 3 this January, he’d certainly worked hard for his keep. RIP.

Another old stager who won’t get to enjoy his retirement. Very sad.
But when you consider the "retirement" some of these great old horses get, sometimes maybe a blessing in disguise. I assume we all know the tale of Grand National winner Hello Dandy. Disgusting.
March 9, 2011 at 16:05 #343918I hope that life/retirement after racing has improved generally since poor Hello Dandy (which was a TOTAL disgrace for any horse but for a Grand National winner … words fail me!) – various rehoming schemes and the retraining racehorse programme seems to be a success with well-filled show classes. Obviously still far from all enjoy a happy life/retirement – nice to see on David Pipe’s web about their former in-mates.
