Well done Graham, Final Furlong and Mrs Raymo..
Must admit I didn’t have to watch with heart in mouth even when BDM fell as knew he was tucked up safe and warm in his stable. actually enjoyed it and especially seeing Red Rum win the Champ of Champs National…Virtual Legend.

Red Rum just had to win the champion of champions. There may well have been a riot if he hadn’t!

Well we know the was jockeys who wasn’t qualified to ride in the real thing, eg Tudor on the “winner” and the was some horses not qualified for the real thing like .”Peregrine Run”.
However the jockey watching his virtual self on Aso Charlie Deutsch says “It was a bit surreal seeing myself and I thought I was making a lot of use of the horse, I don’t think I would’ve ridden him like that for real!”
The real Aso has good form at 2.5 miles but as reported on ITV his stamina is unknown. Maybe in the algorithm they had was the myth of 2.5 miles doing well in the National, which only Gay Trip in 1970 supports.

No Moe I’ll have to hunt that one out.
Was that supposed to be a prediction of where he expected to finish in the race because he was spot on.It was all so lifelike that when Aso took a nasty fall while leading I felt genuine worry for a virtual horse and his jockey
Great that 2.6 million was raised for the NHS 🌈🌈🌈👏👏👏 Jac

Yes strange one – Never won at more than 2m 5f and never fallen in 24 chase starts.
April 7, 2020 at 23:32 #1487159His stamina isnt unknown
He was a blatant non stayer over 3 miles this season let alone the national trip
Would’ve been embarrassing for their computer programmer if Aso had won
April 10, 2020 at 22:43 #1487242Not sure about Aso being a blatant non stayer only finished 9 lengths behind Ballyoptic and was 16 lengths ahead of Definitly Red in the Charlie Hall I was there that day and despite blowing up he was plugging on perfectly ok on very sticky ground.
