    A sad goodbye to a great character. He was by no means the best race horse, but there was something about him that made him stand out. <br>A same he couldnt enjoy retirement

    Venn Ottery was one of my favorates, can anyone remember Mark Johnson saying ‘still the dream lives on’ in the Queen Mother – sent shivers down the spine that day I wish he’d gone there earlier surley he could of been one of the best at 2M, it was horrible to see him flogged around after

    He suffered a fatal injury (think it was in last years Game Spirit at Newbury).
