This weekend apparently, from FCC – so what the hell was he doing hoping to be included in the Ashes squad?

Another example of putting oneself before the team in my opinion, wanting to be part of it and wanting to play whilst knowing it wouldn’t be for the best for the team.

Surely the right thing to do would to say I’m not available as it wouldn’t be for the good of the team?

Yeah agree he should of said he was not available.

He had next to no chance of getting included in the squad on the back of his form in the CC anyway, with 7 innings scoring just 147 runs at an average of 21 and a high score of 43.

Unfortunate fall from grace of a very talented cricketer, the ECB is poor imo and doesn’t do enough to look out for and support players from a wide range of cricket in the UK.
