Glad some of us can see the light, Carv. :D
What is unquestionable, imo, is that Petit Robin ran and jumped far better in the QMCC than he did last week, (Unbelievably, considering the number of fences he clouted and ran across on Saturday, RPR have him running an identical rating).
I would fully expect him to do so again this year and – should Master Minded run – would be confident of PR leaving Twist Magic in his wake again.

I am also on Reet’s side.
Twist may have a slightly better chance, but at the prices Petit Robin must (imo) be the better bet. Constantly lugging left and jumping poorly, surprised he lasted as long as he did. Twist Magic has never found much under presure, if he can win fairly easily he does; unlikely to find it as easy at Cheltenham.

Hope those who’ve backed Twist Magic ante-post realise there is a distinct possibility of the horse planting himself at the start, and you not getting a run. That has to be taken in to consideration in price.

With both horses think it’s best waiting for NRNB.

Were there any zulu warriors in France?

    As with all aristo’s TAPK….

As the Musketeers and the soldiers at Rorke’s Drift showed, it’s not ‘how many’ but ‘how much’!

As I’m sure you’re aware Ginger, NRNB won’t help TM backers if he refuses to start.

Ginge, I’ve just been through Twist Magic’s record on the RP site and can find only one occasion when he was reluctant to start (2008 when Fieppe’s Shuffle won).

There was another occasion when he played up in the preliminaries.

So it would seem his starting isn’t that problematical.

Colin there"s only 2 things that can beat Twist Magic in the Champion Chase, one of thems Master Minded at his very best and he will need to be now old Twisty is a Front running lung buster, the other is Twist Magic himself! If the "Old" Sulky turns up like he did at Kempton one day we"re in for trouble! If the one that has ran from the front on his last two starts shows up! Its curtains for the Three Musketeers!TAPK is thinking of a cunning plan to fleece the 3 of them, before he puts them to the sword! A double edged Sword! 8)

You have missed out the third thing that can beat it, The Trainer.

Remember when Denman came on the scene it was surprising how quickly Kauto went off the boil. As soon as Denman was injured, kauto was brought back to the boil and is, as previously, unbeatable again.

Notice the similarity with TM and MM?

Besides the above this is a pocket talking thread. :D

Your analysis regarding Denman and Kauto Star is decidedly deficient.

Mad post! Won’t bother answering the first part but as far as Twist Macic is concerned he’s following the same script he does every year apart from the fact he didn’t go to the Victor Chandler as Master Minded only needed to turn up to win so PN sent Twist Magic for the Desert Orchid…….then he was sent for a look at the grass and to say hello to the people at Cheltenham before winning a grade 1 a few weeks later  That could change this year but if Master Minded turns up fit and well I wouldn’t recommend a forecast. If he doesn’t then Twist Magic will be the AP lay of the season…My crystal ball says if MM doesn’t front TM may open up fav but will probably drift like a barge.

Marvellous the 4th Musketeer has turned up! You would be "Athos" Fist,he was the old F****r that drank too much and had a loose tongue!Ginge you are "Aramis" young and ambitious always trying to improve himself and wants everyone to like him! Reet you are "Porthos",bit of a gullible sort who fancys himself as a player! Finally "Carv",he would be d"Artagnan, the guy who leads them into battle, another who fancys his chances a bit! But to they fancy challenging i "The ruler of the Ante-Post Kingdom" and my trusty steed Twisty to a duel?

I’ve had more "disgussions" / differences of opinion with Reet and Fist than anyone else. But when it comes to trf, it’s "all for one, and one for all"!

Imagine I’d even agree with you once in a while TAPK. Thanks for the "young" description. Certaily don’t want everyone to like me. Just do / say what I think is right, expect others to do the same.

Is there a full stop on your computer?!!!!
