June 6, 2006 at 12:42 #65963I suppose if Dimboola doesn’t win and you’ve gained 3 points for probably only one and a half risked then you’ve got 2 almost free chances of a bit of each-way thievery but for all Dimboola’s faults surely it must win this race ? Not that I’d back it at that price – closer to evens and I’d be tempted. Fair staking though and even if Dimboola romps home you have a couple of chances to get out of the race without losing (much).
As for the Lingfield race, with Callaghan and Urbina both warm/hot and with Peggy’s Flower’s previous race form as good as anything else in the race (imo) plus the ideal draw as opposed to the fav, I think you’re right to go against the fav but I think backing those 2 outsiders for a total of 4 pts might be more risky than just laying the fav for 4 points, bearing in mind the number of runners/places – fav should be about evens with frankie on board in the first race of the day at a sunny lingfield, so get the fav beat in the first at evens and you could have a free day…
June 6, 2006 at 17:17 #65965Have had my biggest bet of the year on..
7.30 Windsor Rochdale
Was impressed with his Nmkt win & think he can only improve.
Don’t Tell Sue is the obvious danger, but think 7/2 – 3/1 is a fair price & have backed it accordingly
June 6, 2006 at 18:14 #659687:20 Tipperary
2pts Hammers Boy 4/1 – 2nd, lost by a neck it just couldn’t get past Fallon
Is 5lb clear of these on my ratings and open to improvement.<br>

June 6, 2006 at 19:12 #65970No excuses either perpetual considering what the favourite did. I did £20 on it.:(
June 6, 2006 at 19:52 #65971Sorry mate.
I know it no consolation, but I did plenty more than £20…
June 6, 2006 at 23:22 #65972I guessed that was the case Perpetual
June 7, 2006 at 00:25 #65973I know you’ll be downhearted at the minute but keep putting up your selections, I’m sure you usually get it right, unlike me.
