Just watched it Raymo..Tudhope didn’t start shaking the horse up until a furlong from home and then when the horse responded he stopped riding and put the brakes on finishing last..
That’s my take on it but so obviously a non trier… Jac

Not surprised that you are furious mate.
Never put in the race until the very end , responded instantly , and it seemed that he ended up with loads left in the tank.
Everyone can suffer bad luck in running , but some serious questions need to be asked regarding that performance.
On another note , I hope that the horse that seemed to break down is okay.

Thanks Jac and Coggy . Like I say I don’t normally moan out of my pocket but three £2 e/w Doubles and a £4 e/w treble all 9/2 shots cost me nearly a grand. I don’t mind if they are not good enough or unlucky but that was unbelievable!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr

And like you Coggy I hope Whats The Story is okay (Fingers crossed)

    Shocker Raymo..
Did you get a cashout offer?
I dont usually take them preferring to let the bet ride..and most times I end up losing it. Jac

Definitely bad decisions by Tudhope Raymo, I think he sat waiting
for an opening which didn’t come at the end, but he was only sitting
behind 3 horses, and practically ran into the back of them then he stopped
riding. The thing is he had plenty of time to pull either side of them
and with a ton in hand could have won that race. Question is, did he just
ride a really bad race or purposely run up the back of the 3 horses in
front which gave him an excuse to stop a horse with plenty of running
left in it. I would have thought the stewards should have a good look at
that. I’d have been spitting feathers too.

Just as an aside there is no point in ever doing a multiple if you’re going to bottle it and cash out if it gets interesting.

The bookies already fleece punters with their margins and to let them do it a second time with their lousy cash-out terms the few times you ever look like you might take serious money off them is just kneeling down and begging to be ripped off.

Watching that race was like the equivalent of going on the bog to have a damn good sh1t but only a raspy fart squeaks out.

“Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that AULD TOON LOON (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.”

Was a badly misjudged ride but no jockey is immune to them it happens to them all from time to time

I’am although it causes people to stir when I try it from my rear trousers pockets.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

I didn’t even look at the cash out to be honest Jac

And Neil at least you brought a smile to my face :yahoo:

I have just about calmed down now and at best it was a shocking ride and at worst it was blatant stopping of a horse!! I don’t think there is any middle ground there!!

I didn’t notice Tudhope being denied a clear run. He just started to encourage his horse to go on at the final furlong and as the horse responded he ran straight into the back of 3 horses and stopped riding. No attempt was made to switch to a better position.
I think he was telling porkies to the Stewards  Jac
