Hello,
I will be posting my flat racing selections here, it is based upon my systematic/methodical approach
first of the summer:
3.30 leicester LORD CONYERS
I have a 40 point bank, 1 pt per selection, generally around 4/6 is the minimum price I take on any selction, results recorded to SP…;)
May 3, 2005 at 07:20 #59360best of luck tt with this system
May 3, 2005 at 07:21 #59362Thanks Seagull, I like your signature by the way – exactly as it should be…
May 3, 2005 at 19:58 #59363…its always good to get the first out of the way…
result
3.30 leicester LORD CONYERS lost 11/8
0 from 1
1 pt out, 0 pts back
bank 39 points
it was well backed, I took 9/4 early doors – but you get nowt in this game for 7th place, no matter what the price
the trainer goes into the ‘grey’ list – I dont know much about him, but his ability to judge whether the horse had recovered from his last race is now in question – any further transgressions and he goes on the black list
in general all I ask is that my selections have had a decent recent run and that all they have to do is reproduce the same level of form as shown recently to be in with a big chance – I’m a simple man and I like my methodology to be simple too
May 4, 2005 at 12:27 #59364PC problems (java virus) have prevented my posting earlier…
Another day and another animal that some will wonder about the wisdom of…
1.30 chester DANJET
tough consistent great draw, and will be the one to challenge the FAV – gonna play this EW…
May 5, 2005 at 10:01 #59365result:
1.30 chester DANJET lost
DANJET was squeezed for room about 2F out and that did nothing to help her cause, although she wasnt exactly hacking along at the time – so the jury is out on whether that cost her a place – so no need to feel too aggrieved
0 from 2
2 pts out, 0 pts back
bank 38 points

Well today is election day and I for one will be glad when its over, at least then the dull wannabe’s that have been turning up to my door with their ‘im working for you slogans’ can take a break for another 4 years – and the winner can disappear off to westminster to get to work on their expense accounts…
If I were up for a tipping election, on performance so far I would lose my deposit – but this is normal – otherwise why have a 40 pt bank…
today:
2.50 folkestone BIRD OVER
7.40 chepstow PROFITS REALITY
good luck everyone!
May 5, 2005 at 11:12 #59367A brilliant political summary TT ..
Best of luck with the horses, are you the same ttracing that proofs on a certain tipster proofing site by any chance?
May 5, 2005 at 11:23 #59368I have sent you a PM…
I did succesfully run a tipping service for a couple of years and my subscribers made profits, but I gave it up to concentrate on my own betting – I also wanted to develop my casino play and texas hold’em play – which i have had great fun with for the last couple of years…
…I am not running a tipping service at present and just want to concentrate on my bets, getting back into the online communities and swapping a few views about life, the nags, politicians etc
Hold’em can be a lonely game and I missed some of the banter on these sites…
May 5, 2005 at 19:34 #59369It was the place you said in the PM ttt, not recent result I take it?
May 8, 2005 at 14:56 #59370Yes Dave, I posted some selection on there a couple of months ago, but I decided that I didnt want to continue for two main reasons: firstly, if you show that you have a reliable presence and pick a few winners they give you a premium rate phone number to post your selections on – the phone number is too expensive for the punters IMHO and the ‘probably’ take a large cut (I didnt stick around long enough to find out); secondly I decided I wanted to post my selections on a more relaxed community basis, rather than getting back into the ‘tipster’ situation again – at least for the flat turf season.
Apologies for not posting for a couple of days. I went to a wedding in Glasgow and made sure I had internet access etc to continue – what I hadnt accounted for (although could have guessed) is that I would spend 3 days in a constant state of intoxication
so I wasnt really in a fit state to put a post up or pick any selections…
Anyway – we had a good day with the last selections…
result:
2.50 folkestone BIRD OVER won 5/4
7.40 chepstow PROFITS REALITY won 7/2
2 from 4
4 pts out, 6.75 pts back
bank 42.75 points
will start posting as normal again from Monday (after I have sobered up properly ;) )
A day that has plenty of races, but very little talent spread more thinly across them than butter on a dieters wholemeal toast.

I must admit that I didnt think it would go off so short and didnt take the 8/11 myself – but will count it due to no price stipulation on posting…

3 from 8
8 pts out, 8.58 pts back
bank 40.58 points + 0.58 pts
