There’s a rumour been going about that PN thinks he has next years Champion Hurdler in his yard (not Celestial Halo). Pistolet Noir looked the obvious one so I backed him for both the 2011 CH and the Triumph……now I’m told I might have backed the wrong one and Royal Mix who I had never heard of to be honest could be the one. I just looked up his form and seen he beat a horse of Nicky Williams’s called Me Voici pointless who beat PN’s Sang Bleu in his next race.
No wonder PN said he’s not going to run Sang Bleu in the Triumph thing Royal Mix must be very useful.
Anyway AP thought quite a lot of Barizan so Pistolet Noir may still be the better of the two……we live in hope.
January 7, 2010 at 11:10 #268442Quite like the look of Secant Star at the moment but only a couple of firms are offering prices. Anybody know if this is his intended target. The Triumph is usually won by horses with few runs behind them and if he can improve his jumping a tad could be very useful.

January 9, 2010 at 22:08 #269052What about Advisor …he made an nice debut and looks the tyoe to enjoy the New Course judged on his Newbury introduction.
January 13, 2010 at 16:21 #269651Notus De La Tour was very impressive on his British debut, and is a big price at 25/1
January 13, 2010 at 17:37 #269666I remember Royal Mix was meant to face Mille Chief however that was a NR in that race. However Mille Chief would of gone off a short price fav

Has obviously been trimmed from the initial 33/1. He was impressive but it was pretty soft ground and look who trains it – when it comes to Cheltenham the least punter friendly stable in the country – in all probability they will still be keeping you guessing regarding a target a few days before the race.
January 21, 2010 at 18:34 #271288Pittoni is one of the best bets for Cheltenham imo, if he goes. Maybe if he does he will go for the Fred Winter, but whatever he runs in he will take beating.
January 26, 2010 at 22:57 #272276Mille Chief runs tomorrow taking in a novice rather than juvenile hurdle. I still cannot understand why this horse is favourite for the triumph. Should be at least 20/1 in my opinion. Priced up purely on reputation and the stables recent record in the race. Taking the proverbial…
January 27, 2010 at 11:01 #272326Mille Chief will win again today and at Cheltenham as well.

Correct.
January 27, 2010 at 13:56 #272349Won nicely there, wasn’t asked to do much at all but did what was required.
January 27, 2010 at 18:44 #272403Seem to remember King suggesting he had a pretty average bunch of juveniles this season so I think the bookies appear to pricing this one up on the stable’s recent history rather than actual achievement. Won easily today but very unlikely that there were any worldbeaters in behind.
January 28, 2010 at 17:51 #272558Carlito Brigante looks the stand out bet at an over generous 14/1 with Skybet and Corals. The form of his Leopardstown win looks solid and as long as the ground isn’t too soft he must be thereabouts. He is proven left handed and appears as though he will enjoy the stiff finish. He travels very strongly in his races and should be able to lay up with what is sure to be a frenetic pace.

Nice post, this would be the horse that would interest me on form, won his last two races at massive odds, and could get overlooked come the day too. I’d be surprised if Mille Chief can beat him and Alavian.
Still really looking forward to Sunwise though who does look set for a run now, was thinking of screwing up my ticket for him. They say he is better than Pisolet Noir and Advisor.

Sunwise being a John Oxx x flat was a certainty to catch they eye on the gallops and start the tongues of THEY wagging.
THEY who say he’s better than Pisolet Noir are talking shyte.

January 30, 2010 at 16:29 #273025Pistel Noir was poor today any thoughts on him.
Mille Cheif has been to 5/1fav for the race
