No change at the top, but Balder Succes scores for Anrew, Grey Desire, and Hot Fuss.
January 11, 2015 at 17:47 #501148Could we bring back the opportunity to substitute 2 horses in February or would that make it too complicated.
What are those dates for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eswQl-hcvU0
January 11, 2015 at 18:19 #501151Good job you noticed Roi Du Mee, I didn’t even realise it was running! #concentrateman
and Sir Vinski made a right old meal of winning a moderate race! #theyallcount
lol Rob, as you say, they all count. With as much time spent on your notes at Musselburgh, you were allowed to miss one.
Any word on Seeyouatmidnight?
Hi VTC
Asked the question at Kelso regarding
Seeyouatmidnight
. Word is that he will remain over hurdles this season with his initial target the Rendlesham Hurdle, a race he won last year as a novice. The Morebattle also got mentioned as a possible, but my contact may have got the race title confused with the Rendlesham!
After that it’s see how things go and I presume something will be lined up for either Cheltenham or Aintree.
Not directly relevant to the competition, but the same stable’s
Fly Vinnie
will possibly be aimed at the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle or one of the handicap hurdles at Cheltenham. Up to 135 after his Musselburgh win and I think he can go at least into the 140s.
Rob
January 11, 2015 at 19:17 #501159Excellent Rob, thanks for getting the info………even though I bet him for RSA and World Hurdle, it would be no surprise to see him head to Aintree only.
January 16, 2015 at 00:36 #501613Vroum Vroum Mag got his 3rd win of the competition at Thurles yesterday, landing a nice pot for Diamond Geezer.
January 17, 2015 at 23:53 #501921You don’t lose any points for unconvincing victories in this competition, and our most popular horse, The New One scored again today, sending Blunkett to the top in the process
January 18, 2015 at 08:29 #501943Hi VTC – great comp and great organisation. One question about the transfers – in an earlier post you said that the Transfer Window will run after close of play at Cheltenham and Leapordstown on 24th January, and close at 1200 on Saturday 7th February, Betfair Hurdle day. Leapordstown is on the Sunday 25 Jan so is the transfer window opening after the 25th?
January 18, 2015 at 09:42 #501952Thanks very much Goodfellow, appreciate that.
Going by the last few seasons, Trials Day at Cheltenham always fell on the same day as The Leapordstown meeting which held The Leapordstown Chase, and The Boylesports Hurdle. The Irish Champion Hurdle usually fell the day after. That Saturday card at Leapordstown is now on today instead, but The Irish Champion Hurdle card is still on the Sunday next week.
When I was looking at the Bonus Races, I did check the fixtures, so a quick check showed that The Irish Champion Hurdle was the Sunday, I just assumed that the Saturday card would be on the day before. Not sure of the reason, but there’s certainly been a fixture re-shuffle.
I decided to make it the Saturday, rather than the Sunday, as after Trials Day, there should be plenty of clues, and a few tactical swaps, whereas I think most people know what to expect from the likes of those taking in The Irish Champion Hurdle.
I hope that makes sense, I could probably have nailed that in a couple of sentences
January 18, 2015 at 09:57 #501953Thanks – that is clear, great work
January 18, 2015 at 10:08 #501954Phew …..cheers Goodfellow.
January 18, 2015 at 12:34 #501989As mentioned VTC I’m away as of tomorrow. I’d like to transfer out the following:
Allez Colombieres
Smad PlaceAnd put in:
Douvan
DynasteAt the appropriate time.
Many thanks.
January 18, 2015 at 12:37 #501991Ideal, you can now enjoy your holiday have a great time in South Africa.
January 19, 2015 at 00:45 #502074Really tight at the top, after the victory of Vautour today. Blunkett still holds the lead, but Goldie isn’t too far away.
18 of you scored points today, with Bob, and Diamond Geezer scoring double.
January 22, 2015 at 15:57 #5024565 of you score points today, including Blunkett, who stretches his lead at the top, after the impressive victory of Djakadam in The Thyestes.
January 24, 2015 at 15:57 #502754Well after the first half of the season, Blunkett continues to lead the way, and got more points today, courtesy of Smad Place, who also scored for Pat, and gave Aaron double points.
Many Clouds is now the highest scoring horse in the competition, and a great pick for Mark.
After his win in The Cleeve Hurdle, Saphir Du Rheu becomes the 4th highest scoring horse in the competition, and puts himself firmly in The World Hurdle picture. He scored points for Rob, and TAPK in the process.
January 24, 2015 at 19:06 #502779Gonna get rid of two out of Cue Card, Briar Hill and Sure Reef. Briar Hill is nailed on and I’m not sure if Sure Reef is injured or not. Cue Card hasn’t looked the same horse so I’ll take a chance Sure Reef will return. Hoping for quick points by subbing No More Heroes and Un De Sceaux in.
Out:
Briar Hill
Cue CardIn:
No More Heroes
Un De SceauxJanuary 24, 2015 at 19:57 #502789So we can transfer up to 2 horses ?
