In comparison, I’m surprised how few picked Al Boum Photo
November 3, 2019 at 16:52 #1473882Al Boum likely to get one low scoring prep race then go to Cheltenham I bet. Whereas LiT has points on the board already and has a feasible chance of winning the bonus races of the Betfair and King George. Mind you if he can stay sound and travel and jump so extravagantly over 3m2f and get up the Cheltenham hill in front he will be the beast of all beasts.
November 3, 2019 at 17:35 #1473887Why only one run before March for ABP?
I reckon we’ll see him within the next month
November 3, 2019 at 18:14 #1473893Great weekend for Mark, topped off by Lostintranslation.
Half of you have the Tizzard horse, but special mentions to John, Lemons, Rummy, and Steve, who have a very good Star Horse to play with.
Rob gets up and running with his usual nice type, Chuvelo, scoring at Carlisle.
Chuvelo 11.9
Lostintranslation 16.2November 3, 2019 at 19:28 #1473899Why only one run before March for ABP?
I reckon we’ll see him within the next month
Because it worked last year! Don’t mess with a winning formula…
Ok maybe 2 runsNovember 3, 2019 at 19:30 #1473900That was my thinking too re LIT + Al Boum Photo.
ABP wasn’t entered for Saturday, and bar Christmas i can’t think of many G1 races in Ireland for the staying chasers….Mullins is unlikely to travel him as well.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 5, 2019 at 14:31 #1474076WD with Janika Steve- considering he may come on for the run and another half mile, that’s a great pick
November 5, 2019 at 17:31 #1474086Steve has a fine record in the competitions on here, and that looks like continuing with his first bash here.
Janika looks like he could be a very nice selection.
Janika 27.3
As per previous years, in the first few weeks, particularly with regards to next day Runners, please allow for the odd one that gets missed out, as they haven’t all sunk in to my thick skull yet. Particularly the more obscure ones.
Scoreboard getting done manually for first couple of weeks as well, so please allow for a wee blip here and there, and also minor errors when I’ve been copying and pasting (I’ve already corrected one FFS)
For new contestants, don’t worry, with hard cash involved, everything checked and double checked at the business end.
November 7, 2019 at 15:33 #1474291Champ looks a good pick for plenty of you, and a nice star horse for Jeff. Good win for John and Lemons too, as they keep tabs on our early leader.
Champ 11.4
November 8, 2019 at 17:07 #1474338Only six days in, but Rob North already has two winners in, which is not good news for me, for annual battle near the bottom.
Looks like a typical Rob North “find” as well, with Ribble Valley looking very useful.
Played Rob
Ribble Valley 11.3
November 9, 2019 at 16:44 #1474443A wee treble for today’s runners, well done those who have them in their 10
November 9, 2019 at 17:33 #1474445Yeah Corm, doesn’t happen too often, but three nice winners as well.
Mark jumps back to the top of the leaderboard, but Steve is still bang there, with BigG moving up to third.
Plenty in the pack behind having a good day as well.
Too many to mention with Fusil Raffles and Reserve Tank, but Rocky was sole winner with Elixir D’Ainay.
Elixir D’Ainay 12.6
Fusil Raffles 26.4
Reserve Tank 16.6November 9, 2019 at 18:02 #1474448@Corm and @VTC
I really like this year’s entries. There are a few I’ve backed and profited from already when I might not have otherwise considered them
November 9, 2019 at 22:07 #1474472Yeah that’d be nice!
I wasn’t just referring to my list – I think the selections throughout the competition this season are particularly interesting
November 10, 2019 at 14:15 #1474508Yes there’s a great selection from the “ooh I was nearly going to pick that” to “never heard of it before this thread but it has just won a race”.
My list of Horses I Wish I’d Picked has already started
Thank goodness for the transfer window.
Hopefully the ease in the ground this year will keep our selections sound all season too.November 10, 2019 at 14:40 #1474513I’m kicking myself, I really did chop and change mine several times last week. Although I’m not in it to win it, I could do without the pressure of having no winners at all.
Three horses who I swapped at the eleventh hour…
Abacadabras
Give Me a Copper
Gumballhave all won already, really kicking myself, and I also left out Dashel Drasher, who’ll win a good pot. Kicking myself.
November 10, 2019 at 17:45 #1474543Another good day for Steve, as Fakir D’oudairies does the business for him at Naas, and it was also a nice winner for Tonge.
Santini a big winner for loads of you, not least GDC, who goes second, but also for Krypton and Wyldesyde, who have him as star horse.
Andy Dufresne looks a big pick for Tommy.
Andy Dufresne 11.8
Fakir D’Oudairies 14.9
Santini 16.1 -
