Sticking to my principles my list appears of horses that have appeared on my radar locally or relatively locally:
Big River
Christmas In USA
Cloudy Dream
Definitly Red
Eduard (STAR)
Lake View Lad
Reivers Lad
Smart Talk
The Dutchman
Waiting PatientlyAvoiding last place might be main aim(!), there are a few there that should pay their way and I’ll hope for something popping up in a decent event at a price.
VTC – I’ll pop a few bob into the kitty.

October 17, 2016 at 19:44 #1267651Yes, my team is the Queen’s Park or Corinthian-Casuals of this competition!
Wouldn’t put you off Blakemount. He caught my eye this time last year at Kelso, had a couple of tough asks and then won on last outing. On a workable mark to start the season.
October 19, 2016 at 12:37 #1267784Just to maybe add to your list Bobby, Don Cossack, according to Gordon Elliot…….
“If things do go according to plan and he keeps improving, we might look at the Kinloch Brae at Thurles in the middle of January as a starting point. It’ll be one run and then back to the Gold Cup. But, as I said already, it’ll be one day at a time and we won’t be taking any chances.”
I hope he does get back, I was there to cheer him up the hill last year, but tendon injuries can be so problematic. I hope
he gets there and much as I think he’s a great horse, he was my star horse last year, I won’t be chancing him this year.October 20, 2016 at 02:48 #1267857Hi Bobby

one track mindOctober 21, 2016 at 21:20 #1268042@Lionroars….Is Landofhopeandglory really going over the sticks next season lion?
Such a beautiful horse and just a baby, I was hoping he would stay in training on the flat but wish you well
with him he could surprise us all, I hope so. Good luck JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 21, 2016 at 21:59 #1268047well i listened to joseph obien triptych. and he said he was schooling well and all going well is being aimed the triumph hurdle. such a highly rated horse but didnt live up to expectations on the flat. rated over 100 so if he does take to hurdles could be the making of him
October 21, 2016 at 21:59 #1268048Another former O’Brien senior inmate he has in his care is Landofhopeandglory.
Fourth in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot, the High Chaparral gelding is set for a career over hurdles.
“The plan is to go juvenile hurdling with him. His schooling over hurdles has gone well,” said O’Brien.
“He seems to like it, which is the main thing. I’m looking forward to getting him on the track.”Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

He is a big brute of a horse and a real looker but sadly he’s been gelded so hurdling and chasing beckon for his career now.
Would love him to be a success at this so lets hope he looks after himself…

Who Dares WinsOctober 24, 2016 at 12:30 #1268457VTC, you really should receive some form of official civillian award for services to social media for running these !
I think i might leave Don Cossack out of my list. What do you think of Cause Of Causes this year, VTC ? We were so close last season…
October 24, 2016 at 13:12 #1268463I was a big fan of Don Cossack too last year Mark, he was my star horse. I posted on
this thread a week back quoting Gordon Elliot who suggested DC was still on the comeback
trail, and if all went well he could appear in the Kinloch Brae mid January. There was a
bit of a warning there that “but as I already said, it’ll be one day at a time and we wont
be taking any chances”. I’ll be waiting to see if he appears in January, and how he does.
If he looks like he is back to his best he could be considered as one to be transferred
back in during the transfer window at the end of January. Elliot has stated his only run
after that, if he went well, would be the Gold CupI’ve already got plans for the transfer window, I made a bit of a howler and missed out
Traffic Fluide from my 10, even though I had him on my written out list at no. 2. If any of mine
drop out before the compy starts I can get him back in, although I don’t want to wish any hold ups
to any I’ve put forward. Sod’s law says he’ll rack up a wheen of points before that, but I fancy
he has chances in the QMCC.And you’re right, Sir Bobby does have a nice ring to it

Best of luck
