4th in class Chezza. I can almost see your school report from younger days.

Ian is an intelligent boy who does not always put this to good use. His rather mischievous manner draws attention to himself and can cause disruption in the classroom. Must try harder to succeed.

Well done to ap on a deserved victory.

I’ve been reading Alan on here for years, highly intelligent, incredibly logical, massively knowledgeable, and invariably conducts himself with good grace, even when pointing out the inaccuracies of others.

It’s actually quite incredible he’s never won it before.

Alan Potts, 2023 TRF Poster Of The Year – one for the purists, a Classic result.

Congratulations to AP on a well-deserved victory against a strong field.

It was a shame I could only vote once as there were many highly meritorious candidates. Well done to all the nominees.

I suspect am only one of many punters who made / make a profit from betting on horses because of listening to you, AP. My thanks and congratulations on this well deserved “win”. :good:

    Brilliant and so well deserved.
One thread comes to mind in particular regarding a horse which was ridden for you by Kevin Stott. You were able to compare the professionalism of said jockey to that of another who rode for you and who would not take the advice of the trainer. The results spoke for themselves. Well done.

Again, thank you all for your kind words and support.

Jac wrote ” surprised you didn’t win this years ago”. Actually I did, although I couldn’t tell you the exact year. I made my first post on here in September 2002 and sometime in that first decade of the century, I was given the poster of the year award. I’ve probably outlasted most of the voters that supported me then!

I already reprised in the Lounge this interview Simon Nott once did with Alan, but IMO it’s so good it deserves the widest possible TRF audience, so I hope no one will mind me posting it here as well….

    I LOVE BEARS

What about the blind black boy from the Bronx – South side – who fibbed his way onto the forum and cut out most of his crime to go blue collar and spill a few words over a four month period to snatch it !

    I gotta LIST.
