I think Peter Sarstedt’s brothers were called Clive and another, I think better known called Eden Kane.
    All 1960’s era.

…obviously no one wanted my tip
..which of course was Society Boy e.w. :)

Interesting fact about the Duke of Edinburghs’ dog Camira Flash that some of you may not know. It was actually eliminated in the semi-finals in fourth position in the 1968 Derby only for there to be a non runner in the final and as he was quickest of the rest of the semi-finalists he got supplemented in the final and won totally unfancied at an s.p. of 100/8. It caused quite an uproar at the time and that was the last time it ever happened and a non runner in a final became a vacant trap from then on. Well, I thought it was interesting anyway :D

Peter Sarstedtit it was, Robin( Clive) and Eden Kane (Richard) were his brothers. Peter and Eden Kane both had number one hits in the UK with Robin reaching number 3.

Well, as I got in there first with the Sarstedts ( so to to speak  ), I’ll pick up the trivia baton. :D

Here’s one that’ll get the old grey matter churning.

Name the brother and sister ?

The man is a British film, stage and tv actor, known best for his small character roles, rather than lead parts.

The sister, a talented singer, who found fame as part of a folk rock duo ( she was once married to the other half ).

I’m sure the eggheads among you will come up with the answer in no time.

I’m thinking Peters & Lee for the folk rock duo.

I’ll give other people a couple of hours, and then I’ll go googling.

Erm, on second thoughts, maybe Peters & Lee ain’t Folk, and ain’t Rock.

Linda Thompson and Brian Pettifer (who?), but I cheated. Also, I don’t like setting questions.

Correct; well done Gerald and Mr and Mrs Google.

Pettifer featured in Rab C. Nesbit – he also appeared in Lynsey Anderson’s IF along with Malcolm McDowell, and played many other roles in tv and film.

His sister, Linda Thompson, who previously had changed her surname from Pettifer to Peters when moving to London, was married to Richard Thompson, once of Fairport Convention. They made a few good albums together. She’s a fine singer.

Yeah, I was hoping to catch a mug out, but that wasn’t likely to happen, as I was setting the question instead of trying to answering it!
