Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 17, 2017 at 19:22 #1304690Winter for me with Ribchester just behind. Will be on the double
June 17, 2017 at 19:34 #1304697Ribchester for me closely followed by Churchill
June 17, 2017 at 19:54 #1304703Lady Aurelia has to overcome Marsha, St George is too unreliable, Ribchester has a slight ground worry, Caravaggio has Blue and Harry to contend with and Churchill will be re-opposed with Barney who skipped Ireland for this. Winter on the other hand will handle the course/conditions and is a mile ahead of her generation.
June 18, 2017 at 02:13 #1304731I’ve voted Lady Aurelia as I can’t have hyped her up any more on the King Stand thread so I had to stay loyal and vote for her.
Otherwise.. Ribchester. Main rival is one he’s already beaten 4 times. Absolute banker and I will be playing accordingly on Tuesday and cheer him home in my first ever race at the track.
June 18, 2017 at 02:45 #1304732Absolute banker…
On all known form. However, there remains a nagging doubt about the ground.
Winter is my (highly unoriginal) banker for the week.
June 18, 2017 at 23:22 #1304862There are some big fields in the mix and Ribchester is drawn 1 of 16.
Later on Lady Aurelia is drawn 18 of 18 in the Kings Stand, where the stalls will be in the centre of the track on the straight course.
Richard Fahey feels the draw will not make any difference and I would agree, if for no other reason than the fact that the field is chock a block full of dross.
Fahey believes his horse is still improving and I think he will win this with a bit in hand. This is only his 12th career start and the only time he never placed was when disqualified into 4th in a race he would probably have won if he had kept a straight line.
He’ll do for me as a banker.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
