Any plans to have TRF Awards – Villain of The Year, Poster of The Year etc – this year?
November 26, 2009 at 22:47 #260670Only if everyone dresses smartly, no hoodies or jeans and if Graysonscolumn wins the poster of the year again he gets to keep the trophy forever for keeps.

November 26, 2009 at 23:04 #260672Get Cartier to sponsor the awards and hold them at the Ritz or the Hilton Hotel! Invite Derek Thompson to be host for the evening…love him or hate him he will be willing to do it if we all chip in a quid!
November 27, 2009 at 00:17 #260682I can see it now….
‘Ho-ho-ho.. they’re off and racing for the TRF memorial stakes and Fist is first to show. Hey, they’re not messing about here as Fist has taken an early lead and gone clear. As the field race through the halfway stage Fist still has a long lead. The jockey looks through his legs and likes what he sees ….’oh dear, did I really say that, folks.’
But look, here on the outside comes the odds-on favourite Grayson’s Column with a storming run down the outside. 50 yards to go, it’s neck and neck and they’ve gone past together.
I’ll leave that one….etc, etc

After all, December wouldn’t be December without the TRF annual awards.

November 27, 2009 at 16:36 #260810It was November 19th that the Southern Faction met with its ideas of nominations last year, so I guess we’re a week or two behind this.
Any appetite among ths usual suspects for a similar meet-up again, or shall we leave it to Corm or whosoever else to knock up all the longlists without our input? Happy either way, to be honest.

November 30, 2009 at 19:49 #261402The nominations for villain of the year will require extensive ballotting to get the field down to fourteen for what will probably become known as the Penultimate TRF Awards. I’m not sure this can be achieved without recourse to a few cold krones.
